Representatives of the United States will participate in the international song contest "Intervision-2025". This was announced on June 11 by the organizers of the contest.
Russia launched Intervision after it was kicked out of Eurovisions for invading Ukraine.

President Vladimir Putin signed a decree Monday establishing a Russian version of the Eurovision Song Contest, after the country was excluded from the continental competition nearly three years ago. The new contest will be called Intervideniye (Intervision).

@ElysiaMacht yeah Finland had a proud tradition of coming in last at #Eurovision, before finally realising they don’t need to try and emulate what others are doing, but just do their own thing.
#Intervision was only held for a few years. The Soviet Union won a couple times (but of course doesn’t exist anymore). Czechoslovakia won several times, but has split as a country. Tajikistan is unlikely to join Eurovision, though I guess anything’s possible!

Were Poland the only other country winning Intervision at all though then, or the other winning countries disappear off the map around 1990 or so, or what? No idea how many years it actually ran & who could have won either.

One thing you may not know: #Finland is the only country to have won both the #Eurovision, and the #Intervision (which was the Soviet or Eastern Bloc equivalent). A feat that cannot easily be matched. The only way would be for #Poland to some day win the Eurovision.
