"Last weekend, #Iran launched missiles nearly 4,000 kilometres, towards Diego Garcia - a remote Indian Ocean island, double the range it claimed.

That range reaches Paris. London. Athens, Copenhagen and Riga.

"Members of this Council, your capitals are within reach," he said, stressing that if Iran it has doubled the range once, it can do so again to 8,000 kilometres - making it capable of striking deep into the heart of the #US.

URGENT CALL

My name is Takis Politis and I am a Professor at the University of Thessaly. I am in #Malta participating in the Freedom Flotilla. We were about to launch a #humanitarian #solidarity action to break the illegal blockade of the #Gaza Strip and bring humanitarian aid to the Palestinians, who are starving from the deliberate illegal ban on humanitarian aid imposed by #Israel.

Last night after midnight, a few hours before our boarding, our ship was hit by 2 drones in international waters near Malta. A fire broke out and the ship was severely damaged. There were 12 crew members and 6 activists on board at the time of the attack.

I appeal to that large part of Greek society that condemns the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people to pressure the Greek government to STOP all cooperation with Israel and to take all possible actions to help end this #genocide.

Israeli drone struck a ship carrying humanitarian aid to the war-torn and besieged #Gaza Strip while it was in INTERNATIONAL waters near #Malta on Friday.

According to the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC), which organised the mission, the attack appeared to deliberately target the ship’s generator, sparking a fire and causing a “substantial breach in the hull” that left the vessel in danger of sinking.

The ship, which set sail shortly before the attack, carried at least 30 people from 21 countries.

Israeli attack comes exactly two months after authorities halted all humanitarian aid and commercial goods from entering Gaza.
