  2. Today, Jul 14, is International Nonbinary People's Day. Let's review how to celebrate the days for each of the most popular genders:
    Mar 8 -> International Womens Day -> Smash Patriarchy
    Jul 14 -> #InternationalNonbinaryPeoplesDay -> Smash Patriarchy
    Nov 19 -> International Men's Day -> Smash Patriarchy

  3. I always knew there was something different with gender about me, but the only thing I knew about growing up was binary trans, and I clearly wasn't that.

    I'm glad I learned about nonbinary gender. The world makes so much more sense to me now.

  4. I'm spending #InternationalNonBinaryPeoplesDay being non-binary, with my non-binary nesting partner, and going to a gig with non-binary artists, and seeing non-binary friends, and we'll all be having an excellent time living our true lives and being gorgeous and saying fuck the binary 💛🤍💜🖤

  5. "The contribution of non-binary communities is so important. Not only in terms of pointing out the concrete issues we need to address, and of course many of us already know that black trans women constitute the target of racist violence more consistently than any other community. If we want to develop an intersectional perspective, the trans community is showing us the way." Angela Davis

  6. My Pronouns are day/dhem, and on this #internationalnonbinarypeoplesday, I thought I might explain why;

    I identify as genderfluid, and these neopronouns are supposed to represent the fact my gender identity can change on a daily basis.
    While its true that my presentation is largely femme these days. My daily gender identity may not necessarily line up with my presentation.
    That might be a bit confusing, but I owe no one any particular presentation; masculine, feminine, or otherwise.

    I started doing this after I had a dream where I was having a conversation with my former self;
    They appreciated that I was excelling in all aspects of life beyond what I was before, but basically wanted to take the helm again from time to time.
    And you know, for someone who's done so much for me, I'm only too happy to oblige 😀

  7. Happy International Non-Binary People's day to all of our non-binary siblings around the world.

    Non-binary people have always existed and always will.

  9. That being said, topical both to #InternationalNonBinaryPeoplesDay and to my own current railway journey: how do Italian Non-Binary folk get into trains, given their general aversion to platforms?

  10. Today is #InternationalNonBinaryPeoplesDay, and having many non binary people in my life, I stand in support of them, their rights, which are human rights that affect all of us, and their desire to be accepted.

    Being trans is choosing to live against social conditioning, and expressing yourself for who you are. But being openly non-binary is especially challenging, as not only are you constantly having to justify your existence, you also have to constantly break people out of their binary mental moulds, as Western society still has trouble accepting that gender is a spectrum.

    I admire the persistence and perseverance my non-binary friends have.

  12. #Today was #InternationalNonBinaryPeoplesDay and I had unexpected day off. So I gave myself a treat of gaming all day 🎮 (Why not?)
    I played Monster Hunter Generations on DS while drinking soda and munching snacks :ablobbonehungry:
    I cannot believe it is 9 years old game! 💀
    And I still not completed this game yet 💀💀💀

  14. Happy #InternationalNonBinaryPeoplesDay !

    International Non-Binary People's Day is observed each year on 14 July and is aimed at raising awareness and organising around the issues faced by non-binary people around the world. The day was first celebrated in 2012, started by Katje van Loon. The date was chosen for being precisely midway between International Men's Day and International Women's Day.

  15. Happy International Nonbinary People's Day!

    My people, the Houma, have recorded queer and nonbinary/trans peoples met and written about since colonization began, from the early 1700s and before.

    This is not new. It is reclaimed from colonial genocidal forces. It has survived, and so will I, and so will my people.

  17. Today is International Non-Binary People's Day. As good an opportunity as any to learn more, directly from non-binary folks and their lived experience. Follow the hashtags below and you'll find profiles to follow and extend your own bubble. Start change with yourself by watching for your own behaviors and adapting them to reduce harm. Systemic discrimination of non-binary people can still be found everywhere, so let's become an active part of the solution!
