In Afghanistan, there have been 211 confirmed attacks on schools and hospitals, and an estimated 2.5 million girls and young women are denied access to education.

We need to do better. Much, much better. There is no excuse.

The 2023 United Nations Secretary-General Annual Report on Children and Armed Conflict estimates a staggering '112% increase in attacks on schools and hospitals, in particular in #Ukraine, #BurkinaFaso, #Israel and the State of #Palestine, #Myanmar, #Mali and #Afghanistan.'

This is against international humanitarian law.
