September 5th is #InternationalDayofCharity. Originally, a day set aside to honour Mother Theresa, the UN declared it an international holiday in 2012 to promote support for non-profit organizations. Canada ranks 8th worldwide in terms of being charitable, based on 3 categories: donating money, volunteering time, and helping strangers. That rank is impressive, but our place has dropped slightly since 2018.
