Almost my entire lived experiences in super colonial, hella bourgeois, Victoria & Vancouver Island, has helped me to develop hella tough skin to keep on trying to deal with a lot of #mayosapiens & internalized mayosapien behaviours from POC folks too. My skin is committed to #decolonization work in light of & despite of the massive uphill battles outside & within POC communities.

Colonialism, imperialism, capitalism -> all of those demonic forces are strong.
#Humanity can be, should be, hella stronger.

#InternalizedRacism is a threat to the person suffering from it but also to people who encounter that, at large. Grow yourselves strong enough to recognize it & call it out, when you see it happening.

I bring that up only because many #fascists / #WhiteSupremacists really love to recruit #POC & exploit them to try to show public - we ain't #racist because we have #BIPOC people who support us.

Guess what folks? POC with massive #InternalizedRacism & #InternalizedMisogyny are easily recruited/exploited by #bigots for evil purposes. It's not new. It's been happening for a long time. It goes back to #colonialism & #imperialism divide/conquer tactics of Indigenous peoples genocides, globally.

Here's the thing: It's my #POC community & as I'm a part of that, some of my #responsibilities is to address it within that community. It's not #WhiteFolks' jobs to do that - calling out/calling in/educating #diaspora Asian folks suffering from #InternalizedRacism & hurting fellow #Asians.

Just like it's not POC's jobs to deal with white #racists - it's the responsibilities of white folks to deal with problematic bigots in their own communities.

There's some diaspora #Asians on Vancouver Island (and several other places in Global North) who have severe #InternalizedRacism, to the point that they're not just #indoctrinated into #colonialism & capitalism but they're so self unaware of internalized racism that they don't even know when racist white folks #tokenize them to defend/justify racism & use them to push WS beliefs on their own peoples.

I lose my fu*king shit around Asians like this. They harm us Asians who fight for human rights.
