  1. Ugh. It's been a day already and it's only 9:30am.

With a layoff at my now former company, lots of us have been impacted, including me. The good news is my calendar is now free and clear.

I have no idea what comes next but if you know of any #InternalCommunications roles in #Massachusetts, I'd really appreciate the heads up 😃

  2. I'll be honest, I didn't see this one coming but I'm not mad about it...

From Business Insider: "In the generative AI boom, vibe coding and AI expertise have become in-demand résumé skills. But tech companies are also looking to pay a premium for expertise in people who have a skill that predates AI: The art of communication."

I'm a hesitant AI user but this particular tool has some interesting promise and use cases.

  6. #Plants #ommunicate #distress using their own kind of #nervoussystem. Model mustard plant uses the same signals as animals to relay distress. Although plant biologists already know that changes to one part of a plant are sensed by the others, they had no idea how that information was transmitted. Now that they have seen the #calcium wave and the role of #glutamate, researchers can better monitor and—perhaps one day even manipulate—the plant's #internalcommunications.science.org/content/article/pl

  7. The secret to leading #OrganisationalChange is #Empathy

⭐ Learn about your team's specific fears and acknowledge them openly.

⭐ Involve individuals at all levels of the organisation.

⭐ Openly tell people what to expect.

➡️ Transformation won't succeed without broad involvement.

  8. Transformational leaders are exceptional communicators, argues this article in HBR.

The piece outlines four communication strategies to help motivate and inspire your team:
