🇬🇧 One more view on the lower station as we "climb" to the upper station of the funicular. A view of the inside of the upper station and one from the Outside where we can see what "intermodality" means.

I had an interesting discussion with @jon yesterday at #velocity2025 about bikes, trains and bikes on trains. Among other topics we discussed the pros and cons of obligatory bike place reservations: cost, flexibility, predictability, paranoid security concerns, bike place design, abusive booking of unneeded places etc. It's a complex issue and there does not seem to be yes or no answer.

For this, elevators are needed (and they are a must for #accessibility), but also a comfortable access for the bikes through the stairs. In #Denmark, almost all train stations have these bicycle stairs. Such access ramps allow going up & down with the bike without bearing it.

-During rush hours no bicycles: intermodality not to commute.
-Out of rush hours: Only 1bicycle. As no booking is possible you depend on being lucky. You may have to get rid of the bicycle in your way back :sadness:
