In our case nodes are humans. It is likely that they fall in-and-out of #connectedness the dynamics of falling in-and-out are interesting for us. E.g., someone dropping in on many conversations in a short span of time behaves differently than someone dropping repeatedly in on the same group -- both could be disconnected for big part of the observation.
We could call them "minimally connected" nodes.

Hooray! I'm responsible for our institute's #seminar on April 13 and I'm more than happy to announce that Virginia Domínguez-García (fom the Estación Biológica de Doñana - CSIC) volunteered to present her impressive work on the structure and robustness of tripartite #InteractionNetworks. The seminar will be online, at 2 pm, so please don't hesitate to get in touch in case you would like to join.

What a nice pre-Christmas gift! We got funding! 🎉
The universities of Tübingen and Hohenheim support our pilot studies about the structure and stability of #tree-#liana #InteractionNetworks!!!
Oh, this is going to be so much fun! Time to celebrate with my collaborators Sara Tomiolo and Bismark Ofosu-Bamfo! 🥳🍾🎊

And another very interesting #network poster! This one shows that higher horizontal #diversity of #autotrophs does not necessarily lead to higher #FunctionalDiversity!
Thanks @lawojcik, it was nice to chat with you!

Important take home message from #sfe2gfoe2022 / #EcologyMetz2022:
Don’t underestimate the #theory sessions on #InteractionNetworks! We need bigger rooms!!! -
Another super interesting poster discussion, this time about the evolutionary #emergence of #mutualistic #InteractionNetworks. Seems like non-obligate #pollinators play a key role in accelerating #CommunityAssembly!
Thanks @timometz for stepping me through these exciting results- - I’m already looking forward to future collaborations!
