  1. About Counter-Information Practices and a Warning

When we speak, it should be clear, to show reality and not to obscure it and/or reduce it to a spectacle.

We issue a warning about suspicious, manipulative and reckless individual(s) behind the “FAI ARCHIVE” – just set up by the “No War But My War” blog and Instagram, who have been trying to contact admins and sites in the international counter-information networks and anti-repression solidarity groups in a duplicitous way and spreading misinformations and smears. We note that FAI/FRI* has been recently designated as a foreign terrorist organisation by the American administration for which they also target “Antifa Ost“, etc, as part of a hyped and aggressive move against domestic and foreign radical-left and anti-state anarchist movements and tendencies of all sorts, including single-issue unrelated subjects to anarchism.

This individual(s) claims to be in contact and know others in the international anarchist networks, when it has been investigated and found that they are lying, which is deeply suspect. Claiming to be in contact and to have the confidence of others when you do not is unacceptable and treacherous. It is the way of the undercover cop, the infiltrator or, in the “best” case, the self-aggrandizing fantasist.

This individual(s) purports to be building an “archive” of actions claimed by FAI/FRI, the anarchist-insurrectionalist open platform and network for direct action. The individual(s) has spent considerable time and energy in researching little-known obscure media clips of the attacks from many different places all over the world, so their claim that they did not know the dates that they are failing to provide on any (missing) notes to the attacks is misleading and false. There are even some actions which were never claimed by FAI that are being reframed as “FAI” actions by this site, using journalistic reasoning. This is always the form with “propaganda”, it becomes a means of disassociation. In fact, we know that “No War But My War” claimed to be in contact with the VICE journalist and general scummy untrustable piece of shit, Jake Hanrahan, who now runs a grift called Popular Front. We know that “No War But My War” approached Palang Hitam (Anarchist Black Cross Indonesia) trying to ask out an interview on Jake’s behalf, we know this because we talk to our comrades.

Do not communicate with this email address [[email protected] + [email protected]], blog or Instagram account and be aware that not only are there a lot of fools with smartphones, there are also cyber-operations taking place. This confirms to a pattern of electronic disruption and infiltration that has been taking place in Indonesia by the counter-terrorist unit “Densus 88” and that we believe has been informed by the policing tactics of the American, British and European states. It is known that the Indonesian state has been pursuing a violent campaign using systematic torture against the anarchist movement and using special technical spyware and trolling campaigns along with typical surveillance, infiltration and provocation methods.

One thing that alerted us to the possible problematic nature of “No War But My War” was their identical lines of thinking to American state narratives, for example, connecting the “Prairieland defendants” with “our prisoners” as European “Antifa” or as “FAI networks”, when there is no connection, not in the sense of a specific terrorist organization nor even between any supposed “extreme-left movement”, which can contain such differing realities as what happened at the ICE Prairieland Immigration Detention Centre, and what passes as “Antifa” in Europe, but what happened in Texas was a tragic consequence of the dangerous and unpredictable social war which is taking place there, and was a political trial to shore up the repression. Certainly, it is absurd to put any FAI cell next to what happened in Texas, or a stretch at least, and one that seems more a fantasy of the prosecutors. We covered the Prairieland trial on our counter-info site, not because they are accused “Antifa” “anarchists” or anything else: we see and recognise the people on the streets of the United Snakes of America who are fighting back against the state. They don’t need to be “far-left”, “anarchists”, “Antifas” etc.

Using this premise of creating a “FAI Archive”, this admin(s) contacted us and others, and has sent “propaganda videos” which were initially posted on our site since we didn’t have any problem with it, despite finding the content open to our criticism as mere spectacle, “propaganda”. Recently, “No War But My War” sent us an overblown “propaganda” video which featured an American state official, Marco Rubio, speaking about their plans to focus their counter-terrorism infrastructure on “radical-left terrorism”. FAI/FRI does not need propagandists and will see Marco Rubio come and go as an insignificant politician. The actions and the communiques are the primary world of FAI/FRI.

What we have seen practiced by this site is not genuine archiving. Each action or claim has been decontextualised, the dates and sources of the original counter-info site it was taken from are removed entirely and it is never stated which site translated it or first published it, or if it was from the corporate media. The context is removed by deleting the dates of the revolutionary attacks and then what we are seeing is that this admin(s) of “No War But My War” is then posting these actions as if they happened last week, and also sending them to other counter-info sites, which proliferates this kind of noise and fake signal. Allowing this type of behaviour to spread is unacceptable in the counter-information networks.

Not only does it lead to a situation where the counter-info sites are not able to be trusted whenever anything happens, it promotes a way of looking at the world which is narrow and utilitarian, even if we could trust the motives of this dubious blog. We don’t want to read regurgitated slop masquerading as “news”.

Several times we told “No War But My War” to cease these practices and they never responded directly to these criticisms with anything other than arrogance and deflection.

It cannot continue like this. The international network of counter information and translation has been weakening in general over the last decade and allowing such behaviour to reoccur will open the door to more idiocy. To reiterate, the values and ethics of the counter-info sites as regarding what is true and false has to be scrupulous. To open the way towards manipulation and the spreading of false narratives and contexts is not in accordance with our concepts.

  2. The Informal Solidarity Network for Political Prisoners of the “Anarchist” Cluster, Are Raising Funds to Cover Legal Expenses for Prisoners

In August and September 2025, following the killing of a motorcycle taxi (ojek) driver during protests against government corruption and police brutality in Jakarta, Indonesia erupted in a massive popular uprising that shook the regime of President Prabowo, a former military officer. In the aftermath of the unrest, the ruling elite blamed “anarchists” for the disorder and launched mass arrests of thousands of young people across major cities, accusing them of involvement in the protests.

Across the country, young people were abducted by the Densus 88 counterterrorism unit and tortured into giving false confessions. The regime targeted young people in the streets, motorcycle taxi drivers, IT workers, activists, punks, journalists, musicians, and many others, all accused of committing serious “crimes.”

Most were detained for months without due process. Access to legal assistance was restricted. Many cases proceeded with little public attention, while the defendants and their families were forced to bear severe economic, psychological, and social burdens.

To this day, some of them continue to face long and exhausting legal proceedings. Among them are Komar in Surabaya, Dena in Bandung, Mpe in Bandung, Dani in Bandung, Kuple in Bandung, Fadil in Bandung, and Amal in Makassar. These names represent only a small fraction of those who have been targeted by state repression and criminalization.

For this reason, solidarity is more than a slogan. It is a real and urgent necessity. Material and moral support from one another is one way to ensure that those facing criminalization are not left to struggle alone.

We, the Informal Solidarity Network for Political Prisoners of the “Anarchist” Cluster, are raising funds to cover legal expenses for these prisoners. We urgently need additional resources, as three other detainees have not received any legal representation at all.

  3. Interviews With Three Anarchists in Indonesia vs Anti-Sistema

    1. Last August, a widespread social uprising erupted in Indonesia. It began with demonstrations protesting tax hikes and pay raises for politicians. When the police killed the first person, the uprising escalated on August 28, and police stations and parliament buildings were set on fire, while politicians’ homes were looted. Can you say something about the conditions that led to the revolt at the end of last year?

Comrade A: Like any uprising, the one last August came from a ton of frustration that had been building up for ages. It started because during Jokowi’s second term, a lot of corruption finally got exposed. Then when Prabowo became president, the politicians got even ballsier — they were basically mocking everyone like, “If we wanna do this, what are you gonna do about it?” Add to that the deep hatred toward the police, who are corrupt as hell institutionally, plus tons of unfinished cases like the Kanjuruhan stadium disaster where over a hundred football fans died a few years ago.

In the last couple of years, especially on TikTok (which is huge among regular and lower-middle class folks), there were way more posts full of hate toward the police than before. The final spark? The government decided to raise DPR (the Indonesian parliamentery) members’ salaries right in the middle of all that anger. Then during the protests, an online driver got run over and killed by a police tactical vehicle. Boom — perfect recipe for chaos.

    2. How did the revolt unfold and how did it develop? How did people organize themselves? How did you personally experience it?

I already covered some of this in the first answer. I wasn’t on the streets myself, but I heard from folks who were right in the middle of it. People didn’t really organize in any structured way — it was still too early and the whole thing happened too fast. Most folks just coordinated the next place to burn, with a bunch of adventurous types hopping from one burning spot to another. TikTok helped a lot too, with people live-streaming short clips of the riots in real time.

    3. Our impression was that anarchists threw themselves headlong into the revolt from the very beginning and were very active. What role did anarchists play in the revolt? What were the anarchist initiatives and focal points?

Some anarchists were busy with propaganda on social media, but they didn’t directly provoke the riots. So honestly, anarchists didn’t start this — they just got caught up in the flow. This was a real spontaneous mass uprising.

Anarchism itself is still pretty new in Indonesia. There are some anarcho-syndicalist groups that have been around for a while, but I don’t really know how involved they were. The more insurrectionary anarchists did join the street actions though. It’s still too early to talk about any specific anarchist focus points in the August uprising.

    4. To what extent was the revolt connected to the Gen Z uprisings in Nepal, Morocco, Madagascar, and other countries? Were people aware of the other uprisings, and did that provide them with additional motivation?

We gotta thank social media for this one. A lot of Gen Z in Nepal straight up said they were inspired by Indonesia’s August uprising. But in my opinion, they actually took it further than we did here. In Indonesia, the uprising fizzled out pretty quick because the government played it smart — they pushed a narrative against the rioters by targeting middle-class influencers who are scared of chaos. That worked really well and convinced most protesters to calm down and switch to more moderate stuff, like student demands (which I think were kinda silly and went nowhere). That basically killed the momentum.

    5. How was the state able to suppress the revolt? Why did the uprising end?

    Already answered in number 4.

    6. How do anarchists discuss and reflect on their experiences and participation in the uprising? Do you see mistakes or missed opportunities? How have anarchist discussions changed since the revolt?

Since quite a few insurrectionary anarchists got arrested and are still dealing with legal stuff, there hasn’t really been much reflection — or at least I haven’t seen it. I’m actually trying to piece one together myself, but the info is still pretty raw and messy.

    7. How did anarchists come to be labeled the state’s number one enemy, and how can we imagine the repression that followed the revolt?

This has been building up gradually for a while. From what I’ve seen, the “anarchists are the enemy” narrative got really loud after May Day 2018 in Yogyakarta. Some anarchist protesters painted “Kill the Sultan” graffiti and it caused a huge backlash — there was a serious hunt for the people who did it. Then came a big May Day 2019 demonstration in Bandung where lots of young people wore all black, waved black and red flags with the circled-A, and around 600 of them got arrested. There wasn’t any real riot, just some vandalism, but that’s when the head of the Indonesian police first publicly said there’s a new enemy called “anarcho-syndicalists.” After that, the state started pushing the idea that anarchists (not just the old communist scare) are now public enemy number one.

    8. What is the current situation like? What challenges are you facing? How has the situation changed since the revolt?

One thing is clear: the police made a special long-term program (part of their 10-year plan) to go after groups they see as threats to security and order. They didn’t name names, but it’s obvious anarchists are on that list.

Not much has really changed since the uprising. Life went back to normal, the government is doing the same old shit. The only difference is a lot of people — especially middle class and above — are way more pessimistic about trusting the government. You can see it all over social media.

    9. Although there are many anarchists in Indonesia and many texts about the revolt have been translated, we sometimes feel that we still feel distanced from the struggles and experiences here. What do you think anarchist internationalism needs today to make solidarity, discussions, and connection alive and strong?

I think the real work has to start here in Indonesia — how anarchists deal with this situation, learn from the August uprising, and figure out what to do next. Without that, whatever people outside Indonesia do (no matter how good the solidarity is) won’t make a big difference. It’s not on you guys abroad. We have to sort out our own problems first before expecting help from outside.

    10. Do you have anything else to add?

In short, we gotta admit that social media played a huge role in this August Uprising. From spreading hatred toward the police, showing off all the corruption by officials, sharing info about the next riot spots, targets for burning and looting, inspiring people in other countries like Nepal, to how the uprising was eventually calmed down and life went back to normal — everything revolved around social media.

Thanks for all the attention and solidarity from Europe so far. In case you need to know more detailed on some issues I’ve raised in my answers above, just let me know.

    –

    Comrade B:

    1. Last August, a widespread social uprising erupted in Indonesia. It
began with demonstrations protesting tax hikes and pay raises for
politicians. When the police killed the first person, the uprising
escalated on August 28, and police stations and parliament buildings
were set on fire, while politicians’ homes were looted. Can you say
something about the conditions that led to the revolt at the end of last
    year?

Demonstrations like this are not something unique here, especially when
they end in loss of life. In fact, such outcomes often reinforce the
misleading narrative that protests which turn violent are pointless and
counterproductive—a view frequently echoed by social media influencers.
Ironically, although many of them initially express support, once the
uprising begins to disturb their comfort and bourgeois sensibilities,
most are quick to condemn it. What stood out yesterday was the
spontaneity across different groups, transcending divisions of race,
culture, and religion. The issue became vertical in nature—something
that does not usually happen. Regardless of whatever conspiracy theories
are being pushed by the uninformed, it is clear that the moment laid
bare the state’s political infrastructure and exposed just how fragile
the structures of power really are.Poverty remains the central,
undeniable issue, particularly for the younger generation, whose outlook
is increasingly cosmopolitan, yet marked by deep frustration and a
future that appears increasingly bleak. Moreover, with the advancement
of information technology, these realities can spread rapidly and can no
longer be concealed. Old ideologies have, in essence, lost their
relevance—not only Leninism, but also classical anarchism, which is
    deeply Eurocentric.

    2. How did the revolt unfold and how did it develop? How did people
organize themselves? How did you personally experience it?

Honestly, no one really knows exactly how all of this began. But what
had been building up for a long time was a deep exhaustion with politics
as usual. There’s a widespread feeling across all levels of society that
politicians have become servants of the wealthy, and that corruption has
reached an almost absurd level. When you see things like extreme tax
hikes alongside government officials openly flaunting their enormous
salaries, it creates a kind of boiling point. And all of this spreads
    very quickly through social media.

In terms of organization, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly how it happened.
What’s clear is that social media played a huge role. The movement
didn’t follow the usual pattern—it was spontaneous, horizontal,
informal. It didn’t look like the typical “organized protest,” which is
often just political theater staged by opposition parties. This time,
people were tired of that. You had students, online drivers, and many
other parts of society organizing themselves in ways that were
completely unpredictable to the authorities. The state was genuinely
overwhelmed. What we saw was more like anarchy in action—not in the
traditional ideological sense, which often feels rigid or outdated, but
something much more alive and dynamic.

I’m not glorifying technology, of course. It’s a double-edged sword. But
there’s something important to learn from it. If you look at history,
major upheavals have always been tied to the dominant technologies of
their time. Without the printing press, something like Paris 1871
wouldn’t have happened. The same goes for Paris 1968 and the global
student movements of the 1960s—those were made possible by the
concentration of young people in universities, which itself was driven
by capitalism’s need to produce skilled workers. But that’s also where
the contradiction lies. Universities bring young people together and
expose them to real issues affecting their lives. At the same time, they
train people to think in fragmented ways—separating issues,
specializing, and ultimately internalizing the false promises of
prestige, career success, and bourgeois values. That tension has been
    there for a long time.

Even events like August 2025 were quickly contained using technology,
which shows both its power and its limits.

Personally, I was surprised by everything that happened. I felt a mix of
emotions—part of me felt like maybe something was finally shifting.
Coordinating with friends from high school and people in different
regions was actually exciting. There was a real sense of shared energy.
In a country as complex as this archipelago, what happened felt like a
kind of catharsis. And honestly, even when I was interrogated by the
    anti-terror unit—with their almost “CIA-style” approach—I couldn’t help
but laugh to myself. It was clear they didn’t really understand what had
actually happened in August. This is blatant proof that we can really
destroy this social relationship of techno-industrial civilisation.

    3. Our impression was that anarchists threw themselves headlong into the
revolt from the very beginning and were very active. What role did
anarchists play in the revolt? What were the anarchist initiatives and
    focal points?

Well, on a smaller scale, there are definitely insurrectionary anarchist
elements—people who try to sharpen contradictions through direct
confrontation. That’s not to dismiss other tendencies, but many of them
tend to romanticize Spain in 1936 and keep insisting they’re
“pro-violence,” as long as it’s properly organized. A lot of that ends
up sounding like empty talk. I mean, if they actually followed through,
I’d respect that. But in reality, those circles often get stuck in
interpersonal issues. They claim to stand with workers, yet act more
like church missionaries, and they’re deeply absorbed in cancel culture.

Honestly, many of these so-called anarchists today resemble 19th-century
Christian puritans. They go out of their way to distance themselves from
spontaneous acts against authority, as if they’re worried it might
damage the image of anarchism. I find it frustrating and laughable.
Ideology, to me, isn’t particularly useful. But what’s ironic is that
when anarchist prisoners begin to receive broader public sympathy, these
same groups suddenly insert themselves into the moment. Certinly
laughable. The truth is, those who present themselves as “organized
anarchists” often struggle to connect with people who are actually out
on the streets. And yet, anarchism today is widely adopted precisely
because of its flexibility, its informality, and its rejection of
    conventional politics.

At some point, we need to move beyond these outdated ideologies—and
beyond the armchair theorists who do little more than repeat their
so-called libertarian socialist texts. And I just remembered—one day
before I was arrested, those same anarchist circles were busy blaming
the insurrectionary elements for the looting of malls and for the
casualties. But in reality, some of those who died were journalists and
protesters who were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. My
    condolences to them.

    4. To what extent was the revolt connected to the Gen Z uprisings in
Nepal, Morocco, Madagascar, and other countries? Were people aware of
the other uprisings, and did that provide them with additional
    motivation?

I think I already answer this on question 1 and two. They were quite
similiar even though it is clear we are diferent in terms of geogrphical
    and historical point of view.

    5. How was the state able to suppress the revolt? Why did the uprising
    end?

I’ve already talked about this, but I’ll add something—because the
irony is hard to ignore. Some social media figures—and even some people
who call themselves anarchists—were quick to blame those involved in the
looting. Not just blame them, but even help the police by pointing out
certain individuals, based on unclear issues, and sharing their photos
online like they were doing police work.

So you start to wonder—what’s the difference between them and the system
they claim to oppose? It’s strange how some “anarchists” suddenly become
very supportive of police and prisons the moment things get
uncomfortable. There’s also this need to look morally right all the
time. Some people seem more interested in gaining attention than
actually understanding what’s happening. Snitching becomes a way to look
good. And this kind of social control is very real. You can see it
especially with people whose comfort is disturbed. Middle-class people
who get upset because they can’t go to malls. “Radical” artists who
suddenly struggle when their funding disappears, so no more exhibitions
or trips to Europe. It shows what really matters to them.

In the end, it’s not really about ideology. People from any class, if
they have a bourgeois mindset, will panic when their daily comfort is
threatened—when the lifestyle and image they rely on might disappear. So
insurrections don’t stop just because power is too strong. A lot of the
time, they stop because people are afraid of losing their comfort at the
expense of millions of peple who barely have any roof and something to
    fill thieir stomach.

    6. How do anarchists discuss and reflect on their experiences and
participation in the uprising? Do you see mistakes or missed
opportunities? How have anarchist discussions changed since the revolt?

I’m not part of the so-called anarchist movement here nd I dont want to
be one. From what I know, there isn’t much to it. It’s mostly just a
small number of people who engaged i this discussion—some calling
themselves anarchists, egoists, or nihilists. At the same time, others
in the so-called movement seem more focused on building their image for
international organizations, just so they can become members, rather
than doing actual local organizing. I’m not saying everyone is like
that. There are also people who are active on the ground and involved in
real organizing, but they aren’t obsessed with labeling themselves as
anarchists. In short, as far as I know, there hasn’t really been any
    serious discussion about August.

    7. How did anarchists come to be labeled the state’s number one enemy,
and how can we imagine the repression that followed the revolt?

I think that since Leninism and its variants have already died—like
Lenin’s preserved body—anarchism has become the only real opposition to
the social relations of the state and capitalism. After the
insurrection, of course, many of us are already on the radar of the
    authorities.

    8. What is the current situation like? What challenges are you facing?
How has the situation changed since the revolt?

Not much has changed, except that the widespread anger toward the police
and the government is still very much present across society. Other
outbursts are likely to happen in the near future. The challenge, of
course, is the double-edged sword: technology.

    _-_-_-_-_

    Comrade C:

    1
The main triggers of the protests in late August were poverty and the
increasingly evident process of impoverishment. The outrage stemmed from
plans to increase the salaries and allowances of members of the House of
Representatives (DPR) amid widespread public outcry over tax hikes.
Initially, the protests were confined to social media, but a video of
lawmakers dancing during a session, along with a statement by one Member
of Parliament describing the protesting public as “the most stupid
people in the world” sparked mass demonstrations on August 25, 2025.

On the night of August 28, Afffan Kurniawan, an online ride-hailing
driver was killed after being run over by a Police vehicle. This became
the boiling point of the public’s anger. Long before this,
dissatisfaction with the government and the police had actually been
building up for a long time due to the government’s foolish policies and
statements that easily went viral on social media. Affan’s death
triggered an outburst of public emotion and sparked the imagination that
power could be destroy. Riots then broke out from 29 August to 1
September, as an outpouring of anger through acts of violence and
    looting.

    2
The uprising has spread rapidly since August 29, reaching various cities
outside Jakarta—including areas previously unknown for having a strong
tradition of resistance. Its scale and intensity have created a ripple
    effect across many other regions.

The ability to make Molotov cocktails is no longer limited to certain
groups. At the same time, anarchist discourse—particularly the
individualist/egoist variant—has also been growing in a number of cities
and has contributed to shaping the insurrectionary atmosphere. Affan’s
death served as a key catalyst, but what stands out is the widespread
mass response that occurred without centralized coordination.

The police then highlighted six Instagram accounts accused of being
involved in funding the riots. I am the administrator of one of those
accounts. These accounts had previously been active in voicing radical
criticism of social alienation, and in calling for total rebellion
against authority. I myself am not an individualist or an egoist, but I
support insurrectionary political tactics. They are sensible tactics. I
believe all anarchists, regardless of their ideological variations,
should adopt insurrectionary tactics. It is an effective way to make the
leap out of the psychological prison or prison of fear created by the
humanist morality of the citizenry. It is a way to feed the imagination
and desire. And because most anarchists tend to stigmatize such tactics,
they could do little more than be passive spectators when the August
riots took place. To be honest, most anarchists here are cowards.

I don’t mean to suggest that the August riots were the result of control
by a specific group, because the dynamics on the ground indicate that
the outbreak of violence was more an accumulation of public anger that
    found its momentum.

    3
I take issue with the assumption underlying your question that many
anarchists are active in uprisings. In fact, most of them are actually
the ones putting out the fires. It is true that many anarchists have
been actively raising people’s political awareness. They initiate
discussions, set up study groups, built unions, collectives and
subcultural communities, take part in demonstrations, and so on. But
political awareness alone is not enough to spark an uprising. All the
activities I’ve mentioned are often merely a repetition of what
    anarchists have done before.

    4
Many of the uprisings known as the Gen Z uprisings in various countries
took place after the August riots in Indonesia. So there wasn’t much
additional motivation for Indonesians. But thanks to news about those
Gen Z uprisings, some democracy activists I know have started to open up
to the idea of exploring anarchism. That’s all I know.

    5
The movement’s overall inaction in response to the demonstrations and
riots contributed to the suppression of the August uprising. It should
be noted that these riots began with demonstrations on 25 August by
ordinary people, such as the unemployed, the online motorcycle taxi
community, high school students, and the people who were not affiliated
with any particular movement organisation. Generally, these groups were
underestimated and considered “politically clueless”. Most of their
protest posters were poorly designed. And for that very reason, the
illiterate middle-class activists mocked and labelled the demonstrations
of 25–26 August as an “intelligence operation”. Thus, from the very
beginning, these activists constructed a narrative that fragmented the
movement into factions, making them prone to fighting amongst themselves
    and fostering mutual distrust.

As tensions escalated, particularly following Affan’s death, the anger
of ordinary people was then quelled by middle-class activists shouting
“Don’t vandalize public property,”, “Don’t be anarchists”, “Don’t be
provoked”. Meanwhile, social anarchists, rather than openly advocating
civil war, were instead busy clarifying on social media that “anarchism
isn’t always about violence” in an attempt to market anarchism and win
public sympathy. Such propaganda might be appropriate, but only in the
right circumstances. When riots break out, such propaganda actually
creates public confusion about anarchists and fuels a situation where
rioters become easier to identify and are subsequently judged for
posting on their social media about how wonderful the riots are. And
    that is exactly what happens.

It is precisely situations like these that explain why there was no
significant resistance when wealthy activists suddenly arrived on 1
September with a series of nonsensical demands known as ‘17+8’. And from
that moment on, the fire was completely extinguished. So it is clear
that the first thing to extinguish this uprising was the humanism of the
activists and the anarchists, who lacked analytical insight. They failed
to see those “wild” and violent rioters as potential allies.
Consequently, they failed to affirm and expand the August uprising into
a “celebration of life” amidst a lifeless spectacle of society.

As soon as the anger began to subside, the police began making arrests,
spreading disinformation, and carrying out surveillance. Many anarchists
actually helped spread that disinformation as well. The result was
predictable: the individualists/egoists became the scapegoats. Some of
them were accused of being snitches by social anarchists who didn’t even
know each other. So, of course, the police exploited the anarchists’ own
    stupidity.

    6
Not much has changed. Everything has more or less returned to the way it
was. Most anarchists are plagued by persistent paranoia. Even as late as
January 2026, people were still debating the snitch status of the
‘chaos-star’ prisoners, rather than reflecting on last August’s riots.
So not much has changed, except that anarchism has become more popular.
Now the A symbol and the ‘chaos-star’ are printed on T-shirts and
    displayed everywhere.

    7
I think that’s the logical consequence. Anarchists reject the legitimacy
of the state, and the state will obviously respond to that. The first
thing they do is construct an image of anarchism as a threat to “public
order” while simultaneously making it a useful “ideological enemy” to
justify control, security, and the perpetuation of authoritarianism. The
second step is mass arrests based on absurd charges that are expanded
and obscured. This is usually accompanied by infiltration and the
production of public narratives to delegitimize anarchism. The purpose
of this kind of repressive imagination is to shut down the social
possibilities opened up by every uprising—such as spaces of solidarity,
alternative ways of life, and collective courage. In other words,
post-uprising repression works to restore a sense of fear while closing
off the horizon of political imagination, so that what has happened is
no longer conceivable as something possible.

    8
Last August’s uprising revealed many things that had remained hidden
under “normal” circumstances. It exposed the contradiction between the
system’s claims and reality, demonstrated the limits of collective
patience that had been exceeded, exposed the true face of power and its
mechanisms of domination, whilst also uncovering the latent potential
for collective action within society; at the same time, the uprising
also proved that the seemingly stable order is actually fragile and
dependent on compliance, and that the meaning of the event itself is
always contested through various competing narratives. But more
importantly, it reveals the fact that the left-wing movement and the
majority of anarchists are a pseudo-opposition.

    9
What is needed is the translation of relevant texts. Not just past
anarchist theory and practice, but also bringing local experiences into
the global discourse—whether it’s ways of organizing, ways of
confronting state repression, or ways of responding to apathy or
fragmentation in each locality. I think many anarchists here have been
doing this since the early 2000s. But now it’s relatively rare. I’m not
    exactly sure why that is.
Furthermore, direct relationships also need to be cultivated. Many
connections today are one-way: reading, watching, and following. We need
correspondence, or perhaps even visits. The point is to build an
internationalism that is not merely mediated by social media and
algorithms. I think it’s important to be able to understand each other’s
specific conditions, to avoid shallow universalism, and to avoid an
overly romanticized ethic of solidarity regarding struggles in other
    places.

  4. About “Chaotic Intentions” and Words of Panagiotis Argirou, formerly of CCF

     About “CHAOTIC INTENTIONS”

With theatre, music, audiovisual displays, and graphic creations we brought to life “CHAOTIC INTENTIONS” in memory of Punky Mauri, 17 years after his death in action.

More than 30 artistic creations were exhibited, moving beyond the sterile art galleries to vibrant spaces that commemorate the struggle. We thank everyone who participated, attended, contributed, and made this initiative possible.

Another contribution to the flow of anarchist combative memory that opens up every BLACK MAY, not only to remember the comrade, but also to give continuity to the practice of denying domination, which Mauri staunchly put into practise: Music, explosives, drawings, poetry, hoods, posters, writings, fire and gunpowder.

In memory of Mauricio Morales…until the last bastion of the prison society is destroyed!

Greece. Words of Panagiotis Argirou, former member of Conspiracy of Cells of Fire.

Seventeen years have passed since the day we learned of the tragic explosion in Santiago that cut short the life of a young comrade, loved by many in his city and beyond. Our punk comrade, Mauri, travelled thousands of kilometres, crossed an ocean and two continents, to reach the territory administered by the Greek state, and touched our hearts as well. Seventeen years is a long time, and undoubtedly, much has happened, as these years have left a different mark on each of us. For me, whose life and choices were profoundly affected by this tragic event, every time this date approaches, I feel a shiver run down my spine, and the emotion is always overwhelming. Especially during the last year and a half, in which in Greece we also had the ill fortune of experiencing the death of an equally precious comrade, Kyriakos Xymitiris, due to a premature explosion, something that led us to search, investigate and find out how many brothers and sisters we have lost in a similar way, and to put their story on paper with the book “Circumpolar Stars”, published in memory of Kyriakos.

It is very important that Mauri’s memory remains alive through commemorative events like the one you are organizing, as well as through every other type of initiative, whether political or not. Keeping close to us, by our side, those who have left us, especially those who died in the thick of the struggle, is much more than a collective way of managing grief. It is, above all, a collective response to the most powerful weapon of power: oblivion; and, subsequently, a collective response to the future. Because there is no future without a past, and the past carries with it our dead and their stories. Stories that we must tell, share, and ensure are written down so that younger generations can learn them. Stories of wonderful people with beautiful smiles, like Mauri, like Kyriakos, like Alessandro and Sara, whom we recently lost in another tragic, premature explosion in Italy.

As written in the book dedicated to Kyriakos, which also referred to Mauri, these are stories that have been ignored by the official historiography of the movement. Stories of people whose lives became intertwined with a stick of dynamite, a watch, a detonator, a hand grenade, a mine, an improvised launcher. Stories of revolutionaries who carried their last suitcase. Who got into a car or rode a bicycle for a journey of no return. Who entered an apartment never to leave again. Who were lost forever in the smoke of some fatal, premature explosion, leaving behind unfinished actions and broken promises. Leaving behind people shaken, wondering again and again what might have been. Through these stories, we not only learn who these people were, but also who those who stood by them were. What causes they were committed to, how they spoke of them, how they acted on their behalf. Through these stories, we learn how people learned to keep going, and going, and going. Because if anything remains, it’s that. The raw awareness that we fought against everything and that we have no choice but to keep going. Crying, lamenting, cursing, gritting our teeth, and swearing that we won’t forget. That we will keep going. No matter what.

In short, I’d like to say how deeply moved I am to be in this same auditorium with a comrade with whom, although we’d never met in person, our paths crossed. Despite the thousands of kilometres that separated us, we found each other through our own choices and the way those choices interacted. It’s incredibly moving and a great honour for me to have stood in front of Kyriakos’s grave shouting slogans for Mauri and to have marched together in his memory, a march that was brutally suppressed by the police. I wish I could be there today, with him and with you all, to hear all the stories that need to be told about Mauri, to see all the actions that have been carried out in his memory, and to shout with you.

    Mauricio Morales Present!
    I hope everyone is well.

  5. Update on the Trials of Bandung Anarchist Prisoners in Indonesia (Chaos Star Case)

On April 16, 2026, the verdicts were delivered for five of our comrades at the Bandung District Court. The details are as follows:

    * Albi: sentenced to 6 months in prison for the Bandung unrest in August–September 2026.

    * Pem: sentenced to 9 months in prison for the arson attack on the police post in Gentong, West Java.

    * Herdi: sentenced to 9 months in prison for the arson attack on the police post in Gentong, West Java.

    * Nopal: sentenced to 1 year in prison for the arson attack on the police post in Gentong, West Java.

    * Adit: sentenced to 1 year in prison for the arson attack on the police post in Gentong, West Java.

Also, the first trial of our comrade Dena, also known as Apip or Scoobydoomz, has been postponed and is now scheduled for April 24, 2026.

This trial marks the beginning of proceedings against comrades involved in the arson of Hana Bank during protests against the Indonesian Military Bill in March 2025. Adit, Nopal, and Jalus may face further trials for separate charges.

    Note:
Adit and Nopal have already faced two trials on different charges, and the combined sentences they currently face total three years in prison, not including the upcoming verdict for the Hana Bank arson in Bandung.

Gregorius Hugo, also known as Bake or Bex (informant), received only 7 months and 15 days—a sentence that can be considered virtually a free pass due to time already served in police and prosecution custody. This light sentence, despite his key involvement in the Gentong case, confirms his role as an informant/dead fucking snitch and his cooperation with the authorities! We advise international networks to cut ties with him.

For anarchy and the black international!

  6. Defense Statement of Adit, Anarchist Prisoner in Chaos Star Case: Indonesia

    Your Honorable Panel of Judges,

After everything that has happened regarding the act of violence I committed in the case of the burning of this police post, I have gained many things that I must take upon myself. About how the state —long before what I did— has carried out acts of violence on a far greater scale.

To be honest, after the defense I presented in the case of the August 2025 demonstration was rejected, everything feels pointless. My defense in the previous trial was already very long, explaining everything in great detail. Yet my suspicion that the verdict had been determined from the beginning only grew stronger when the decision was finally struck with the gavel. The state has sentenced me to two years in prison, and now the state demands again that I be given the same sentence. And for that, I only have very little room to defend the violence that I have committed.

It has become an open secret that all forms of violence and abuse of power by state apparatus —(read: the police)— have produced forms of human rights violations. One of the most severe and intolerable is the taking of human life. The Commission for the Disappeared and Victims of Violence (KontraS) recorded 602 incidents of violence involving members of the Indonesian National Police from July 2024 to June 2025. From the Kanjuruhan tragedy, Randi and Yusuf, Afif Maulana, Gamma, Affan Kurniawan, Arianto Tawakkal, to Eko Prasetyo—the most recent—killed by the police.

As someone who condemns all forms of brutality by the authorities and who has pursued, in both theory and practice —through trial and error— the method of direct action to strengthen each individual in reclaiming control over their own life and using that power to fulfill their own aims, I eventually carried out a direct action. An action carried out individually, separate from actions in demonstrations or protests involving many people. An action that is only symbolically carried out to hold the state apparatus accountable for the violence they have committed.

Therefore, I have come to realize that the state only understands language through violence. It is the only language they understand. And I carried out the violence I committed in a language that is poetic —one they do not understand.

In a world as described above, to remain silent and do nothing while the state apparatus continuously demonstrates acts of violence—this is the problem. The question is not whether violence itself can be justified or not, but rather how violence can be maximally made effective to annihilate those “brutal monsters.”

Lastly, I only wish to say this: quickly end all of this exhausting pretense. Deliver the duration of the sentence. And let me calmly live through the time you have taken from me in contemplation.

  7. Brief Statement About the Insurrection in Indonesia and the Subsequent Repression

The following statement by Palang Hitam / ABC Indonesia was broadcast on air Monday, December 9th / between 11am – 1pm CET on Radio Blackout. The name of the show is “bello come una prigione che brucia” (Beautiful as a Burning Prison), a show broadcast since 20 years against prisons, repression, surveillance, military tech and AI. Radio Blackout is an autonomous radio (FM in Turin, Italy, and streaming elsewhere) born in 1992 as common project self managed by local squats, social centers and various collectives and individuals (antifa, anti authoritarian, anticapitalist, anti lots of things, with comrades from different areas of anarchism and communism).

From August to early September 2025, Indonesia was hit by demonstrations and riots triggered by public anger over government policies that were considered detrimental to the people. The main triggers of these protests were drastic increases in the cost of living, including food prices and education costs, as well as mass layoffs that affected many workers. In addition, increases in land and building taxes imposed by local governments as a result of funding cuts from the central government further exacerbated the situation. Public frustration peaked when there were proposals to increase the allowances and salaries of members of the House of Representatives (DPR) which seemed to ignore the suffering of the people.

Initially, public anger was only expressed on social media with calls to dissolve the House of Representatives. However, the response from members of the House of Representatives, especially Ahmad Sahroni, who called the critics “the dumbest people in the world,” only worsened the situation. On August 25, the anger erupted in the form of a massive demonstration in front of the House of Representatives office, which ended in chaos with clashes between demonstrators and the police.

This first demonstration was attended by various elements of society, such as online motorcycle taxi drivers, vocational school students, and members of the general public who were not affiliated with any particular organization. Although the posters they made were ridiculed by some pro-democracy activists for being poorly designed and therefore likely to have been “made by intelligence agents,” the protests continued. Their demands focused on the elimination of allowances for members of the House of Representatives, which were considered too wasteful, the passing of the Asset Seizure Bill, and the rejection of a number of other controversial bills.

On August 26-27, demonstrations continued despite a decline in the number of participants. Many students began to hold open discussions, showing that the issue of the House of Representatives was gaining public attention. However, riots broke out again on August 28, when labor demonstrations in various major cities demanded an increase in the minimum wage, the abolition of the outsourcing system, and changes to the Manpower Act. In Jakarta, labor protests in front of the House of Representatives building and the State Palace ended in riots, which escalated after an online motorcycle taxi driver named Affan Kurniawan was killed when he was hit by an armored police vehicle in Pejompongan, Central Jakarta. This incident was captured on video and went viral, sparking further outrage.

Since early August 29, online motorcycle taxi drivers have gathered at the Kwitang Mobile Brigade Headquarters, demanding justice for Affan’s death and holding the police accountable for the violence against demonstrators. The crowd grew, including students, and the demonstration shifted to police stations and government buildings. However, despite negotiations, the crowd was dissatisfied with the results, and riots broke out again, causing public transportation to come to a standstill and several stations to close.

The riots spread to various major cities outside Jakarta. There were 34 other flashpoints outside Jakarta where public facilities, police stations, and local council buildings were set on fire by the mob. On August 30-31, tensions escalated after it was revealed that several members of the House of Representatives, including Ahmad Sahroni, were abroad. This news further fueled public anger, which led to the storming of the homes of Sahroni and several other members of the House of Representatives, as well as government officials such as Finance Minister Sri Mulyani. Their homes were looted by a crowd that could no longer contain their anger.

That night, the power went out around the Mobile Brigade Headquarters, and police forces deployed to control the riots used tear gas and gunfire to disperse the crowd. The armed forces and police conducted sweeps in various areas to crack down on the rioters. This crackdown continued in the following days, causing tensions to rise throughout Indonesia. The Indonesian government labeled the demonstrators with accusations ranging from terrorism to treason. Instead of meeting the demands during the demonstrations, the Indonesian government responded with continued repression and a retreat from democratization.

This popular uprising was essentially driven by ordinary people, particularly high school students, the unemployed, and the online motorcycle taxi community—forces that had been underestimated and considered “politically unaware” by middle-class activists and most leftists. These rebels are not people who act based on their reading of Marxist or anarchist books. They are on the streets because the information circulating on social media has provoked their anger; anger that is then moderated by the middle class shouting “don’t destroy public facilities,” “don’t be anarchists,” “don’t be provoked,” and finally: making a series of long-winded demands called “17+8” on September 1 just to extinguish the fire and anger (the demands “17+8” that have never been realized until today). It is true that the mob still lack practical intelligence. But of course that is not their fault. Since they are the people who have always been sacrificed by the state and even by the opposition elites who claim to be “revolutionaries”—they have grown up with the understanding that anger must find an outlet.

Then, when the fires stopped burning everywhere, when the rulers and political elites apologized in public, no one could say for sure how it all began. There had been a lot of consolidation, discussion, cross-ideological networking, political campaigns, etc.; but what happened in August 2025 was a festival of insurrection that no one could have predicted. Even when the demonstrations first began, until the death of Affan Kurniawan as the boiling point of public anger, these demonstrations were still seen as “staged demonstrations” for the benefit of those in power, which, ironically, were promoted massively by most middle-class pro-democracy activists and their followers.

Now, after the riots, the police have arrested many people, including anarchists egoist/nihilists, but most of them are victims of wrongful arrest who did not even participate in the demonstrations. They are accused of being masterminds, provocateurs, intellectual actors, and are labeled as “groups of chaos stars.” Meanwhile, the members of DPR such as Ahmad Sahroni, who sparked public outrage, remain in office and have not been dismissed. Recently, the DPR passed a revision to the Criminal Procedure Code that allows police officers to arrest people without evidence and to secretly wiretap, record, and tamper with digital devices.

  8. Anarchist and Antifascist Organizations in Europe Face Terrorism Designation by US Regime

The United States Department of State has decided to designate four European groups associated with the Antifa movement as “Foreign Terrorist Organizations” (FTOs) and “Specially Designated Global Terrorists” (SDGTs)—a move that marks a new escalation in the specific designations to have been applied to cells internationally linked to the anarchist and antifascist movement.

According to Fox News, the inclusion of the four organizations on the FTO and SDGT lists places them in the same category as groups like ISIS (Islamic State), Al-Qaeda. The decision extends former U.S. President Donald Trump’s prior directive on domestic terrorism, giving this policy an international dimension.

Two of the four organizations targeted by the U.S. are based in Greece: Armed Proletarian Justice and Revolutionary Class Self-Defense. According to fascist US media, these groups have carried out attacks on government buildings in various parts of the country, which clearly were linked to the ongoing revolutionary struggle against the state, capital and imperialism. The most recent attack involved a bombing at the headquarters of Hellenic Train last April. Revolutionary Class Self-Defense reportedly dedicated the attack “to the Palestinian people and their heroic resistance.”

One of the other organizations is Antifa Ost, a revolutionary organization linked to attacks in Germany between 2018 and 2023. German prosecutors have already charged seven individuals allegedly connected to its activities. In September 2025, the Hungarian state designated the group as a terrorist organization after allegations that nine members attacked Nazi’s in Budapest in 2023 using hammers, clubs, and pepper spray.

Another central group is the Informal Anarchist Federation, a coalition based in Italy that supports armed revolutionary struggle against the state. The group has been linked to dozens of revolutionary actions over the past two decades, including letter bombs sent to government and industrial targets, small explosive devices, and shooting incidents, including the injury of a nuclear engineering employee in 2012.

This is not the first time anarchist organizations have faced designation. The Conspiracy Cells of Fire and Revolutionary Struggle have both faced the same designation from the US regime. But the expansion of this process, as the US is launching internal fascist repression, makes this incredibly significant.

  11. Call to Arms: Insurrectionary Solidarity with Indonesia

    Communique from FAI Indonesia:

Since the 25th, the flames of rebellion have scorched the oppressive forces in Indonesia, igniting a fierce uprising against a regime that thrives on violence and subjugation. This is no fleeting moment; it is a throbbing heartbeat of resistance from those long denied their rights. The loss of ten lives in this struggle only deepens our resolve to confront the state and its henchmen.

As the government unleashes military brutality, kidnaps activists, and engages in sinister cyber warfare, we are reminded: “Insurrection is the most logical weapon of the masses.” It is time to act- our fury must unite as a force beyond borders!

Comrades across the globe, rise! Attack Indonesian interests wherever they are found. Disrupt the machinery of oppression with every act of defiance.
Join the clash, amplify the voices of the oppressed, and make it clear: our resistance knows no bounds.

Together, we can dismantle the techno-industrial civilisation!

  12. The Night in Black May When the Mauricio Morales Revolutionary Cells Attacked a Business of the Cop Claudio Crespo with Explosives: Chile

Claudio Crespo has been identified as the cop who shot and mutilated the eyes of a young person on November 8, 2019, when the October revolt was in full swing. A few days ago, the CIPER media released body camera footage of the chilean police [1], in which phrases can be heard like: “we’re going to shoot your eyes out”, “let the fucker burn” or “all these fuckers have to get killed“. In other audiovisual recordings he can be observed tearing out a lock of hair from a detainee’s head and sending a photo of it as a trophy to a Whatsapp group called “Scissors” where it seems it was common practice for these miserable police to send records of their “trophies”.

Days after the release of these videos, the cop Claudio Crespo affirmed that “I regret nothing” and “I don’t give a shit”. [2]

Does this surprise us? No. The police is the armed wing of the powerful, defenders of the flesh and blood of property, modern pacifiers who for a salary have decided to take up arms against those who challenge normality and confront a system of life sustained by hierarchies and obedience using the various practices of political violence. In this sense, the words of the cop in question represent the dynamics of the police, who possess no codes at the time of confrontation and make morbid, mocking remarks as a kind of gesture to show their masters that they work to defend their interests. Like a gaucho hanging the dismembered body of a cougar from the pediment of the plots in Patagonia, so the bosses know about their work, unaware that, at some point, the hunters will become the hunted.

However, anarchist and anti-authoritarian practice has known how to hit them across the world, in every corner where hands and hearts are ready to plan and organize gestures of vengeance translated in small victories. From Kurt Wilckens executing the repressor Benigno Varela [3], anarchist comrades in the U.S. sending letter bombs to police stations, book bombs sent to police in Greece, an explosive expert who lost a hand and an eye in Italy, a cop wounded by the explosion of a letter bomb inside a police station in Chile. These actions and many more have demonstrated that anti-police action is always necessary and urgent because, as we have pointed out, they are the defenders of the flesh and blood of all the infrastructure of power and authority.

Anarchist memory doesn’t only remember comrades who have died in action or for other causes, it must also identify and recognize the small victories created throughout the years, and guarantee that these remain necessary elements to create a practical-moral impulse in the present and in the next steps. In this sense, it seems necessary to recall the action carried out a few years ago by the Mauricio Morales Revolutionary Cells, when they attacked the headquarters of Fullclean Security with explosives. This company was created by the cop Claudio Crespo after he was discharged from the filthy institution in which he defended the powerful. Under control of the miserable man, the company has won important bids that have filled his pockets – contracts with the police hospital for about $6.5 billion, $3.6 billion with the municipality of Lo Barnechea, and $40 million with the Maipo Presidential Delegation.

In particular, the night of Black May on May 20, 2022, a powerful rumble was felt around 11pm in the Sucre de Ñuñoa neighborhood, specifically at #2161 where the offices of Fullclean S.A. are still located today. In the front garden of the property, police found cables, remains of a brown bag, pieces of plastic, a battery and timers and the South Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office took over the investigation, having exclusive control over such matters.

We leave the full communique of the explosive action below:

Claim of an explosive attack against Fullclean Security

We have attacked with explosives the private security company of Claudio Crespo Guzman, ex-cop mutilator, cocaine addict and part of Chile’s fascist shock troops!

On the night of Black May 20, we went to Fullclean Security at Román Díaz Street #2161, Ñuñoa., to harass this mercenary who, unable to continue repressing in uniform, has set up a private company to exercise power and control as a means of subsistence.

Both the business of state and private surveillance clearly maintain the relationships necessary to perpetuate their privileges and authority in this place. Repressive activities are an essential part of their validation mechanism, therefore there is not nor will there ever be a state that does not imprison, maim or kill those who stand in the way of its ongoing devastation and violence. These activities are part of a continuity of state policy that transcends governments, be they right-wing, left-wing, plurinational or conventional. There is no need to separate the leaders from the mafia: every authority is equally bad.

In confronting this repressive reality, we show our combative solidarity with subversive prisoner Marcelo Villarroel who is still imprisoned solely because of convictions by the military court, legacy of the dictator Pinochet and perpetuated by governments and the intellectual managers of democracy, including what is left of the Boric government. We call for agitation between May 23 and 30 for the freedom of our comrade.

Because a powerful fire is only the continuation of a small spark, this action goes in memory of our brother and comrade Mauricio Morales whose ideas and practices of freedom remain a bomb that spreads.

We salute the comrades who keep the fight for freedom alive in the high schools and in the streets, disregarding institutional hope with fire and disobedience.

A fraternal and revolutionary hug to Pato Gallardo, tireless fighter who recently died, leaving behind a committed history of struggle in dictatorship and democracy.

Greetings and freedom to our prisoners.

We’re angry and running out of patience, do not say that we are few, say that we here.

We send greetings and strength to La Negra Venganza, Grupo Autónomo Revolucionario del Maule, Grupo de Respuesta Animal, Fracción Autonómica Cristián Valdebenito, Células Revolucionarias Nicolás Neira, Simon Radowitzky Anti-capitalist Cell and those who keep attacking around the world.

    Mauricio Morales Revolutionary Cells

The cop mentioned the harassment action on his Twitter account, saying that “yesterday I was victim to a cowardly terrorist attack at the company. They installed a bomb and thank God there were no injuries and my family is fine.” Apparently, he doesn’t know that it wasn’t due to divine will that the actions against him until now have intended to besiege him, and not as the comrades of the Grupo Autónomo Weichafe Matias Katrileo said a few years ago, “We alone decide the materials, schedules and objectives and advance according to the direction of war… when we intend that the damage-destruction will be different. This is how we will do it, and all planning will point in that direction.(4)”

We bring this action to mind in the face of so many comments -even from “anarchists”- tending towards human rights, positions and discourses aligning with reformist, platformist and/ or popular sectors, which only aim to rearrange the chess board of power. The human rights discourse is not at all close to our ideas, since its very existence is closely linked with the protection of democracy, and democracy itself is the protection of the state. We call on everyone not to lose the anti-authoritarian sense of smell, not to submit in our discourses and to enhance our anarchic memory, our ideas and horizons for confrontation.

  13. EN: The preliminary hearing of October 10th in the so-called Sibilla repressive operation, which involves twelve anarchists, including Alfredo Cospito, who is detained under 41 bis prison regime in Bancali prison (Sassari) and connected through videoconference (obligatory under 41 bis), ended with a postponement due to lack of notification.

Initially scheduled to take place at the court in via XIV Settembre, the building that serves as the court of preliminary investigation (this is usually where interrogations of guarantees, re-examinations and preliminary hearings are held), it was only when they entered the courtroom that the tireless officials of the administration of justice realised that there were no suitable rooms in that building for hearings using videoconferencing. Therefore, the hearing was hurriedly moved to the central seat of the court of Perugia in piazza Matteotti.

Several accused comrades, including Alfredo himself, asked to be allowed to make spontaneous statements, but were met with firm opposition by chief prosecutor Raffaele Cantone, who replaced the prosecutor in charge of the investigation, Manuela Comodi, after she ran into some legal troubles; all this in a paradoxical situation in which it was the prosecution that asked for a postponement, without the official opening of the hearing and therefore also without being able to make statements.

The comrades who were present (we remember that the preliminary hearing is held behind closed doors) managed to ‘greet’ Alfredo on camera and even made themselves heard on the microphone for a brief moment, upsetting the judge and prosecutor. Alfredo responded to the greetings by waving and raising his fists cheerfully.

Outside the courtroom, a gathering of some twenty comrades reiterated their solidarity with Alfredo, the defence of the anarchist publications, and the denunciation of the authoritarian turn underway as an expression of the politics of war.

The next appointment is therefore for January 15th in Perugia, at 10 a.m., in piazza Matteotti. Reaffirming our solidarity with Alfredo and our determination to defend the agibility of the anarchist press, we invite the comrades to be present in solidarity on this occasion as well.

    Hands off the anarchist publications

On October 10th is set the preliminary hearing for Sibilla proceeding, which in November 2021 led to an operation targeted mainly against the anarchist paper ‘Vetriolo’, an operation intended as a repressive warning against revolutionary anarchist publications. On that date, an indictment will be requested for 12 anarchists on 19 counts, almost all of them aggravated by the purpose of terrorism.

In order to attack anarchists and revolutionary paths, the State rants about ‘inciting’ and ‘orienting’ capabilities in such an ambit as the anarchist movement, which has always been a proponent of an obstinate and radical autonomy of thought and action. An assertion that goes hand in hand with having supported in the Scripta Manent trial convictions for ‘political massacre’ in the country where the massacres, the real ones, have always been perpetrated by the State apparatus.

Together with that trial, Sibilla operation was decisive in the transfer into 41 bis prison regime of Alfredo Cospito, one of the 12 defendants in this case. With the intense 2022-’23 mobilisation against 41 bis and life imprisonment without possibility of parole, we were able to prevent sentences up to life imprisonment resulting from Scripta Manent, due to the charge of ‘political massacre’. Today as yesterday, as a potential Sibilla trial approaches, we solidarise with Alfredo, defend anarchist publications and support the urgency of the revolutionary struggle.

While States gear up for war and profits for armaments grow out of all proportion, repressive organs again hurry to put anarchists on trial, an ‘internal enemy’ that must be eradicated because of their longstanding struggle against the State and capital. Repression against anarchist publications is part of war policies; 41 bis is war prison.

Solidarity gathering: Thursday, October 10th, at 9:30 a.m., in front of the court of Perugia in via XIV Settembre 86 (former Enel building).

Meeting to discuss the hearing and the struggle against 41 bis: Wednesday, October 9th, 8:00 p.m., at Circolo Anarchico ‘La Faglia’, via Monte Bianco 23, Foligno.

Switch Off! Campaign Claim of Incendiary Attack on “Melon” and “Río Maipo Aggregates” Cement Factory. (August 3. San Juan de Llolleo Sector, Valparaíso Region, Chile.

“We are the debris piles and the grains of sand in the gears of a machine which advances inexorably and with heavy steps. We are factors of disruption in the machine room”.

    – Volcano Group

The night of Saturday, August 3, accompanied by the forces of the river, we decided to attack the “Melon” Cement factory and the “Río Maipo Aggregates S.A.” company.(1) located in the surroundings of the mouth of the Maipo River. We aimed to paralyze their functioning, entering both premises and igniting their lines of production, logistics and administrative offices using 10 incendiary devices, propitiating the total destruction of the facilities of the location, and so consolidating our third act of sabotage with significant damage to factories that pray on and threaten the life along the Maipo River. This act returns part of the decades of harm that they have caused to the land and the environments in which they operate, as a way of contributing to the struggle against devastation. To the destruction of the earth and our lives, the only way we can respond with dignity is through the total destruction of that which destroys it.

In this sector, as well as along other stretches of the river, the activity of cement and aggregate extraction brings ecological sacrifice and the degradation of the communities that inhabit the environment, converting it into another sacrifice zone (there are 4 total concrete, cement and aggregate factories that operate there). This hasn’t been irrelevant for the local population which has demonstrated against the effects provoked by the functioning of this nefarious industrial activity, though beyond this particular conflict in the zone, we become part of the same, putting our wager on revolutionary anarchic violence into practice with conviction as a concrete and necessary method for the sharpening of the conflict for the earth and total liberation.

Melon is a cement company operating in Chile which currently is in the hands of a powerful corporate conglomerate based in Peru (Breca Group, of the Brescia-Cafferata family), which proposes expanding their business of exploitation of the earth across the whole of southern Abya Yala, adding this activity to the rest of the economic sectors in which they already operate. In turn, the aggregate company “Maestranza y Planta de Áridos Rio Maipo S.A.” [Rio Maipo Aggregate Plant and Workshop] operates actively in the sector of the Maipo river of the Santo Domingo and San Antonio townships, Valparaiso region. This comes after attempting to establish themselves in the Navidad township (Rancagua, VI Region) commencing their activities without even having the respective approval of the environmental impact execution commission of the region, proving their total indifference to the harmful effects of the exploitation of the earth and the rivers. In addition to these two factories which were attacked, there are two other concrete/cement factories in the area; one of these is “San Juan Cementos” of the multinational group UNACEM, which also devastates the earth in various countries of Abya Yala (USA, Ecuador, Chile, Peru and Colombia).

The environmental impact that both activities have is well known, causes of the degradation of the rivers and environmental contamination, in addition to harming the life and ecosystems of the environments where they operate. It’s not without reason that other territories of the first world, models to which some aspire so much, prohibit the activity of extraction of aggregates in water basins. Extracting aggregates and minerals from the banks of rivers harms their course and velocity, generating sinkholes that are replicated upstream in a domino effect (a phenomenon called regressive or retrograde erosion). This destroys the flora and fauna that live there and promotes land slides or similar phenomena. The impact of cement production is not minor, bordering 7% of C02 emissions on a global level (three times that of air traffic, positioning itself as the third most contaminating industry). In addition, all of these absurd and enormous quantities of cement produced on a daily basis across the world (close to 150 tons are consumed each second) are created with raw materials such as gravel, pebbles and stones that they take from the mouths of the rivers or by drilling into the earth for extraction of minerals. Vast expanses of beaches are razed and devoured to extract the necessary sand.

These industries exist to proliferate the current civilized model of life, where each day cement imposes itself over more and more of the earth, crushing and hiding it to make way for the ingratitude toward what is native, raising enormous constructions through respective displacement or destruction of habitat of wild animals and vegetation that gives life to the ecosystems. This happens day after day without stop, expanding the city further and further into the edges and elevations, thus sweeping away what is natural in the territory. Where the parks are pleasing but only a simple functional bubble in the city in the middle of all the cemented shit. The rain water doesn’t adequately drain in the earth, the heat in the city of concrete is suffocating, and there is no longer even any earth to plant. All of this is cement and to maintain it and reproduce it they need these extractivist industries, destroyers of the environment. This gray and opaque form of life has grave consequences and these are not irrelevant to us.

Understanding that these companies make up part of this extensive extractivist machinery, present in the whole world and quickly converting all of Abya Yala into a sacrifice zone; that the exploitation of the earth is a vital artery  of domination; that the industrial activity responsible for the changes to the climate caused by global warming have no real interest in halting their devastation but rather endeavor to feign environmentalism and new energy sources that are also harmful for the ecosystems and our lives; and above all, with the clarity that each of us is the only one who can fight the advance of devastation, we see the urgency of attacking the industry that destroys the earth. We add our initiative and action to the internationalist “Switch Off!” campaign, which we spoke of in a past writing called “The Conflict in Abya Yala and its Relationship to “Switch Off!”: Anarchist Words on the Necessary Struggle for the Earth”.

Switch Off! The cement factories and aggregate extraction!

Switch Off! The world of devastation and the system of destruction!

May this fire be an embrace for the comrades who have dealt blows in other territories across the world like the attacks in Germany against the cement plants of “HeidelbergMaterials AG” and “Cemex”, to the comrade saboteurs of the Mountain Valley U.S.A. gas pipeline, to the perpetrators of the attacks against Tesla, among various other acts of sabotage and destruction across the globe. Knowing that attack must be immediate and in all territories where the facilities and means of those responsible for the devastation are found, contributing to dialogue through direct and confrontational action, without any shade of hope in institutional processes or savior entities. For those who we find on the offensive, encouragement and love <3

We also act in solidarity with the struggle for Mapuche autonomy that consistently remains with head held high despite the colonizing offensive of the chilean and argentine states, responding to excractivist industry with fire and bullet and without faltering.

But the state offensive hasn’t only been in Wallmapu; the repressive situation in the whole territory has heightened in the hands of social democracy, which has intensified its authoritarian policing policies against the whole sector which is antagonistic to the interests of capital and the State. It puts a nice face over its anti revolutionary actions, raising false flags of struggle pretending to be environmentalist, pro human rights, pro “original peoples” and to be against gendered violence, proving not only to be a fraud in each of these areas, but also reinforcing the opposite. We see this in the repressive escalation in Wallmapu, in the disproportionate and vengeful sentence against our anarchist comrade Francisco Solar, in the mediatized repressive hunt in the historically combative Villa Francia neighborhood, in the anti-squat law that indiscriminately criminalizes and punishes land occupations of residents without houses, in the construction of new high-security prisons. All this among so many other blatant actions that benefit the powerful to the detriment of the exploited and the fighters, like the release and total impunity given for the acts of police bastards like the pigs Crespo and Sebastian Zamora, to the assassins of Cristián Valdebenito and those of Pablo Merchant, among many other cases. Our solidarity to all those who suffered the consequences of repression including prison, mutilation, persecution and murder.

All of this is no more and no less than the work of the “popular” government that came to halt “fascism”, a government commanded by they who, in a key moment, lent a hand to power to agree to suppress the revolt and stop any possibility of popular violence escalating. All of this is the work of they who counted on the support of illusive votes of supposedly combative sectors. Faced with this, we demonstrate our total rejection of the complicit silence, victimization and immobilization of those self-proclaimed revolutionary sectors when the time came tried to convince us that participating in democracy could be a good idea. We abhor anyone who under the wings of the struggle actively sustains and participates in the electoral system and representative democracy that only defends the structure of the neoliberal and police regime, because institutionalism and its justice will always look out in favor of those who govern and their repressive arms. We are disgusted by those sectors which call themselves “anarchists” or “revolutionaries” and were part of the electoral show of the constituent and of this government. Those who today, instead of making a profound self-critique and arousing the determined step into offensive action, keep silent after bitten their tongues and today succumb to immobilization and sterile discourses that do little to end this reality that rattles us. The only response faced with brutal repression, the imprisonment of our comrades, political executions and the police state is and will be autonomous struggle and direct action, far from institutionalism and democratic traps. It was said in advance, counting on centuries of historical experiences of struggle, and today, by spitting and throwing it in the faces of those delusional participants in democracy, we repeat once again: there’s nothing to negotiate with the enemy, the only path is conflict, without half measures nor timidity, fire to progressivism and open war against all authority!

In this month of august, charged with memory for Santiago Maldonado and Macarena Valdés, we continue walking the path of direct confrontation, spreading fire against devastation, giving life and continuity to combative memory for our dead.

In addition we connect with the call for the week of international agitation for Francisco Solar, comrade currently imprisoned by the State through an 86 year sentence and in a vengeful isolation regime. We leave aside the victimist discourses and attack Power where it’s found, since this is the only way we have to get Francisco out of isolation. And the more frequent these attacks are, the greater there impact will be and, moreover, their capacity to have an erruptive impact will grow, which will certainly strengthen expressions of anarchist solidarity.

“We understand that the only way to stay alive is striking the oppressors. We know that Power won’t fall with these attacks, but this isn’t a reason for us to sit on our hands. We strike because we don’t envisage citizen passivity in our lives. We distance ourselves from formal combat structures to take the pleasure of attack into our own hands, united in affinity.

    Let’s unleash destructive hostilities!”

    -SEDITIOUS COMPLICITIES /FACTION FOR VENGEANCE

A strong, warm and tight embrace to Francisco Solar, Aldo, Lucas, Mónica Caballero, Tomás, Joaquín García, Panda, Rusio, Tortuga, Mapuche prisoners, Villa Francia prisoners and anarchist prisoners around the world. A push, a breath, a gesture and a wink, translated through fire against the industries of domination and devastation, making them part of this expansive fire of liberation.

Immediate freedom for the lonko Facundo Jones Huala who is on hunger and thirst strike in the prisons of the State of chile.

From Wallmapu to palestine, armed resistance is necessary against colonial occupation. Action against genocide is viable on all continents, to destroy colonialism wherever it’s found. From the river to the sea, palestine will be free.

“We attack industry and the economy which benefit from colonialism and the destruction of nature and make a future worth living less and less possible!”

Switch Off! The system of destruction.

Switch off the machine. Destroy the machine.

Bau, Claudia, Mauri, Angry, tortuguita and all anarchists who died in action, you walk with us on the offensive.

For anarchy, for the earth, for our lives.

  16. Solidarity against the isolation regime of the Anarchist Francisco Solar

In the framework of the international week of agitation and solidarity against the isolation regime of the anarchist comrade Francisco Solar from August 10 to 17, we carried out on the walls posters in central places of Komotini.

Recall that the comrade is accused of sending explosive packages to the 54th division of the Carabineros (Federal Police of Chile) and against the former minister of the interior, Rodrigo Hinzpeter in July 2019, an action he has undertaken as ”Cómplices Sediciosos – Fracción por la Venganza” . He is also accused of the double attack on the Tánica building on February 27, 2020, an action that he has also undertaken as “by the Afinidades Armadas en Revuelta.”

For the last action, comrade Monica Caballero is also accused.

    OUR ONLY HOMELAND IS REVOLT

AUTHORITY HAS EVERYONE IN A VICE GRIP.Dealing out crumbs through humiliating charity and robotised slavery. With nothing to guarantee any more, the technicians in power promise only crisis and emergency – and soon war. In the guise of defence against the rabid attacks in recent weeks they have enhanced their arsenal of social control against all of us.

MEANWHILE RACIST ATTACKS TAKE PLACE IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. The perpetrators target ‘immigrants’ (or whoever they classify as such) with abuse, chemical dousing, threats, beatings, fire and bricks. This is the worst kind of cowardice: kneeling in front of bosses and leaders, but leaping up to strike at anyone they fear coming from below them. Without a doubt masses of angry citizens join behind them, perhaps more hesitant to act, but no less lobotomised by fear of the outsider.

What they don’t see is that every inch of space is at the mercy of profit and control. Everyone and everything is molded in the image of an inhuman ‘progress’. The human dream of belonging and co-existence is murdered and re-animated as the zombie of imperiled nationalism.

This disgrace is encouraged by the mass conformity of addiction to politics, media and social media. It is a high-tech attention racket, churning out new things to be terrified of, or furious at – anything to keep you scrolling and clicking.

Now, after the smoke of would-be pogroms has cleared, the state continues to sing its lullaby of ‘safety’ – set in a fairytale kingdom of multicultural unity. But we know its knights in shining armour are cops, judges, screws, snitches, and tech companies selling DIY surveillance. And the unity they defend is only made up of deadly, voluntary obedience – to subhuman housing and rent, life-devouring work, and poisonous consumption.

To let ourselves be lulled by the sham product of ‘security’ comes at a high price – our own living thought and will to act: a nice deal for those with power and privilege, and shameful dispossession for the rest of us, left sitting ducks.

Enough of all that! We won’t help to decorate this exploited wasteland with flags and democratic lies. It’s time to act, face each other, face reality, choose our companions in struggle and confront what is destroying us. In the Harehills neighbourhood of Leeds, the attempt by the cops and social services to abduct several children against their will led to a night of multi-racial rebellion from the combative youth of the area. In Croydon a gathering of 50 people, against a fascist threat that came to nothing, didn’t let the moment go to waste – attacking police and barricading streets.

But we don’t need to wait for the final straw. Let’s form self-organised groups, without flags or leaders, meet, talk, identify the questions that are making our lives unliveable, starving our children, throwing us out into the streets or forcing us to live in urban destitution and humiliation. Without unions or political parties, let’s self-organise the attack on the existent with those we choose and coordinate our struggles, bringing forth quality, solidarity, joy, starting right now to create a world worth living in. Where there is dignity there is revolt!

  19. 15 years after your death in action. MAURICIO MORALES YOU LIVE IN THE FIRE.

“On my back lying on the floor of the street, with the frozen cement, I see my fall pass close by and I see myself lying on this very spot… with my heart beating in a hurry and the rain washing hard the blood from my surroundings”

    Mauricio Morales

“We keep our dead in our hearts. We carry them with us in wild moments when the anarchist attack disturbs the order of this world. Anarchy has neither victims nor heroes.”

    Conspiracy Cells of Fire

On May 27, 2024 at a few hours before midnight we stormed a public transport bus. With a clear objective, to break the monotony of the city’s rhythm and illuminate the cold night of May in memory of the anarchist comrade Mauricio Morales.

15 years ago… on May 22, 2009 around 1:30 am, a roar shook the silent and cold night of the Matta neighborhood. The wit that transported in the direction of the damned school of gendarmerie of Chile had detonated in advance, the Punky Mauri as he was known in the anarchist environments, died at the instant of the detonation melting with the device that had been arranged to place in that nefarious institution.

Today we remember you with action. That bomb in which you met your death resounds in every complicit gesture that attempts against domination.

We want to contribute to the call for a Black May, an anti-prison May, an anarchist May. It is still time to generate and strengthen offensive complicities, to keep alive the anarchic action. To keep alive the memory of those who went on the offensive, to be an embrace in solidarity with those who are in the dungeons of capital, to contribute in some way to break its precious social peace.

More than a year after their arrest, we embrace the anarchist comrades Aldo and Lucas Hernandez, this also goes for you.

We call for action and to make visible the prison situation and the attempt to bury through isolation the Anarchist comrade Francisco Solar.

Freedom for: Juan Aliste, Marcelo Villaroel, Mónica Caballero, Joaquín García, Aldo and Lucas Hernández, Francisco Solar, Juan Flores, Anti-speciesist Prisoners, Political Prisoners and Mapuche Political Prisoners.

FIRE AND DYNAMITE TO THE JAIL. FIRE AND LEAD TO THE JAILER.
TO MULTIPLY AND INTENSIFY THE ATTACKS, BY THE EXPANSION OF THE ANARCHIST URBAN GUERRILLA.
AGAINST THE PRISON AND DOMINATION SOCIETY.
    LONG LIVE ANARCHY!

  20. Nothing is Over, Everything Continues

In these days it will be 15 years since the physical departure of comrade Mauricio Morales, the Punky Mauri… a thousand sensations are coming to the surface. May 22, 2009 seems like yesterday.

Facts, situations, feelings always alive, which remain burned in the memory, because the power with which they emerged was of such a magnitude, that not even the passing of the years can appease that force.

The news of your death, the hunt unleashed; the power, its defenders and false critics spewing threats, mockery and defamation. The pain of your depature, the complicity between comrades, the love, the solidarity, the combat and non-resignation.

The defiant confrontation, the haughtiness of offensive gestures. Anarchy, as a living idea, that moves into action and gives us strength, while pushing us to raise our heads, to fight defeat, stagnation, fear and pain.

The affinity and solidarity among comrades, the gestures that materialize in different forms, but always with the clear objective of continuing to aim at the destruction of power and all authority.

All that was May 2009, all that and more, it is difficult to translate it into words, because they all seem pale, washed out and short to convey what we lived. Even so, we must try, going beyond our own walls.

Mauri’s death marked a turning point on different levels. To the police, it finally gave them a name, an identity to persecute and to adjudicate explosive actions that had been going on without rest since 2004 (and where they had no other clues than those of a cowardly and delirious collaborator, El Grillo).

The anarchic comrades were left with the impact and pain of the departure, calling them to action, in different intensities, but with a sincere desire to contribute to the memory and the combat. In these same environments the paths of those who denigrate direct action and only give value to mass violence, denying individual action, social war, permanent insurrection and the arsenal that this may choose, are finally to be separated.

This separation and rupture was already brewing, but undoubtedly the death of Mauri, makes many masks fall, insults, opportunism and defamation come to the surface. History is full of nefarious characters and tendencies that, in order to accommodate themselves, to stay safe from any danger or to obtain political dividends, are capable of falling defamations, insults or trickery. The ever-living memory of our dead should not forget with ease and lightness those who have insulted them, denigrated their life choices and mocked their dead bodies.

The explosive 2009 brought raids, arrests, the press vomiting reports, comrades targeted, persecuted, clandestinities, but the anarchic bravery enjoying excellent health and a significant number of comrades giving their best, striving to contribute to the anti-authoritarian tide, with the urgency to live, in the here and now, everything that was built with words.

Then the police moves followed one after the other, simultaneous raids, the closing of our squatted home, arrests, pompous trials, clandestinity, flight for years, but the same desire to fight power, to continue advancing towards total liberation.

What is left after so many events?…. perhaps many will ask themselves, we do not, we do not digress, because we are clear, the deep pride of living as we have wanted, with the values and tools that have seemed right to us, without regrets. What remains is the joy of having crossed paths with beautiful, dedicated, dedicated people, without half measures, without compromises, without compromises.

What remains is the love for an idea and the burning desire for it not to die in the mouth, but to prevail in active hands. There remains the infinite eternal love for a brother who has accompanied us and who will accompany us even in the darkest night and on the most dangerous path.

Fifteen years later, the idea, the projects that united us, are still alive, as are you, among new anarchic comrades.

    With eternal love…
Comradeship, solidarity, love, confrontation, resistance/offensive, war and anarchy…. For an always Black May.
Until the last bastion of prison society is destroyed.

“The snake cannot understand the hawk.
Why don’t you rest a little here in the dark, in the beautiful, slippery dampness?” asked the snake. “Why fly in the skies, don’t you know of the dangers that lurk there, the violence and the storm that awaits you and the hunter’s gun that knocks you down and destroys your life?” But the hawk paid no attention to him. It spread its wings and flew; its triumphant song was heard and echoed in the sky. One day, the hawk was shot down, blood gushed from his heart and then the serpent said “Fool, I warned you, I told you to stay where you were, in the dark, in the beautiful humidity, the warmth, where no one could find you and harm you…” However, with his last breath, the hawk answered “I have flown, I have ascended in immense heights, I have seen the light, I have lived, I have lived!”

  21. And it seems like only yesterday… a comrade killed in action… and soon after we learned his name: Mauricio Morales!!

The coherence, the determination to arm an idea as a project does not seem to be a part of the trajectory of many comrades… the singular individual that stands out among his own due to his revolutionary exemplariness has always existed and will always exist.

It’s always been difficult to pave the way and transmit confidence to our own… Our own? Yes! Our own!

As convinced iconoclasts we believe that “our own” are those who practice what they preach and we see ourselves in them, in their discourse and practice. We know the price of coherence… like Prometheus we share the word, the experience and the torment… we believe in what we think and consequently we speak.

We are persecuted when we say our part because our discourse and our practice is not recuperable the state and by capital. And, nevertheless, indecently, when they kill us and lock us up, the brilliance of individual rebellion is usurped by the undeserving that have converted ethics into programmed alternative leisure.

Not one of our own lives and dies in vain… existence shows us strongly refractory individuals, and the assimilation and alienation they combat relentlessly.

We remember Mauricio with his wide and bright smile… a smile that always accompanied his determination, la potency of his words, the coherence of his actions.

Being consistent with ones own ideas is a choice of Extreme Love and he knew (we know) that that can mean death or imprisonment and it was death what he found that morning 15 years ago.

We keep finding our comrade and brother Mauricio beautifully violent in each sigh of dignity, in each breath of rebelliousness, in each action in solidarity, and in each scream of Anarchy.

Fighting against the States and against all authorities is a revolutionary duty and a pleasure, just as is fighting against oblivion.

Beloved Mauricio, we don’t forget you and we’re still standing, at war, never letting our guard down.

We hug you in the creative chaos that drives us in each moment to reach Freedom and Total Liberation!

    Long live Anarchy!
    Long live Freedom!
    Punky Mauri is present!

  22. For the revolutionary anarchist Alfredo Bonanno

On December 6, the anarchist comrade Alfredo Bonanno died at the age of 86 years old. Alfredo was an emblematic figure of the insurrectional tendency of the anarchist movement. His political activity extended to the whole range of militant practices of the movement and his writings have addressed a multitude of theoretical, historical and ideological issues, such as the question of insurrection and political organisation, revolutionary and armed struggle, the contemporary tendencies of capitalism, the relationship between nation and class, themes that he addressed with originality and acumen, which places him among the most important contemporary anarchist thinkers.

His revolutionary activities often caused him to be targeted by the repressive forces both in Italy and in Greece, where he has had close political contacts since the early 1990s participating in political events, international initiatives, solidarity movements and editorial projects. It would not be exaggerated to say that some of his works, such as Theory and Practice of insurrection  left a strong mark on the formation of the Greek anarchist movement of the nineties and two thousand.

Alfredo was arrested in October  2009, at the age of 72 years, along with the comrade Christos S. near Trikala, accused of having robbed a bank. Despite his precarious health and the taking responsibility for the robbery by the comrade Christos S., Alfredo was subjected to a vindictive preventive custody until the trial in November 2010 and subsequent expulsion. He was sentenced to four years in prison for “simple complicity” in the robbery and expelled from Greece. Until the end of his life he did not stop fighting, challenging persecution, putting into practice the timeless premise of “fighting to the end”.

During Alfredo’s imprisonment in the prison of Korydallos, three successive members of our collective had the privilege of living with him over a period of time. Endless conversations in the prison yard, always with our disagreements, always with mutual respect. We will remember him in the heat of August 2010, inside the stuffy cell 15 of the first wing, while reading and writing on a chair, telling us that for anarchists to read should be a natural necessity, we will always remember him as a kind figure, one of the figures who inspired us to join the anarchist movement during our adolescence. But above all we will remember him for what he was: an anarchist revolutionary, an eternal guerrilla, an eternal enemy of the State and capital.

Goodbye comrade… we greet you with those unique words that will never cease to thrill us: « The revolutionary struggle is like a sea against which fighting would be vain madness, we must adapt to the sense of the waves, swim now with strength and now with lightness, seize the impetus of life that the sea hides in itself to get to the desired goal. The difficult art of the swimmer conceals the political sense of minority action. The latter highlights its class significance exploding suddenly as the fruit of revolutionary memory and as indication for the present clash ».
