William Tyndale was executed for translating the Bible into English. He discusses the Rich Young ruler from Matthew 19. Tyndale says Jesus’ summary indicates the man was not saved, and the love of riches prevented liberal giving to the poor.
I’ve seen other commentaries that invoke danger or riches w/o mentioning who it’s kept from.
How can you liberally and freely help the poor and needy?
