  1. CW: food

Some ideas for Winter to reduce the amount of out-of-season fresh produce I'm buying:

Preserved veggies in sandwiches: pickles, tomato relish, sauerkraut.

In-season substitutes in salads: cole slaw and grated carrot instead of leafy greens, apples or pears instead of tomatoes.

Preserved vege in salads: sun-dried tomatoes, olives.

Fruit for snacking: more tinned or dried fruit (plus fresh in-season fruit but that is a short list at a certain point).

  4. Is it time for your body to become a temple again? 🥗

In-season food is more nutritious, fresher and far kinder to the environment than food that has to travel across oceans.

And Irish people are spoilt for choice with locally grown food in January. Get some of these into you over the next few weeks!
