I haven't had the energy to put up a toy lately, but that needs to change. Tomorrow I will come home from work and flop on the #gorgonopsid.

The Big Picture. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to pull it off and there was a close call with file corruption, but it's done now.
Happy #Thanksgiving, everyone.
What is the dividing line between 風船 (fuusen, #balloon) and 空ビ (kuubi, #inflatable toy)?
Inostrancevia (Jurassic World: Rebirth, Strike Attack by Mattel)
I first heard of Inostrancevia in a 1994 episode of Paleo-World titled “Tale of the Sail”, about the synapsids that dominated the Permian period. It has been one of my favorite prehistoric animal names ever since, with a pleasant mouthfeel even if the name sounds cooler than it is. The name means “after Inostrantsev”, in honor of the geologist Alexander Inostrantsev who was the […]

#HappyNewYear! Here’s to 2025 being full of oversized #inflatable #toys and #fursuit action! (The geopolitical situation might say otherwise though...)

Spike the #inflatable #gorgonops is finally here. He’ll be at Get Out The Float in February, and I’m hoping to make a smaller version available as a public run sometime next year.

An oversized #inflatable #gorgonops is a perfectly appropriate beach #toy, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Puffy Permian protommamals are way more fun than some boring sphere or toroid.
More #anime type experimentation.
My art in 2023 (10/12)
October: Inostrancevia family at sunrise. I hadn’t drawn Permian synapsids in a while at this point so they were overdue for a paleoart. I also felt like going absolute ham with my reds. The sunrise and Permian volcanism made for a convenient excuse but really, this is just for me.

Whiskers drew themselves a ref sheet! They can be added to commissions for free (along with my characters), but it depends on the idea! Whiskers is an inostrancevia, a prehistoric carnivore! This was done by them live at https://www.twitch.tv/ra_zim

A recent series of volcanic eruptions causes the Sun to rise in astonishing colours over the vast Pangaean deserts. An #Inostrancevia family gets ready for the day, the cubs playing with everything in sight, from their mother to a very dismayed #Dvinia . A little way away, a #Vivaxosaurus browses a shrub for breakfast.
There's nothing better than spending a quiet evening with a friend. Even if they're the size of your nostril and sitting on your nose, at least according to this Inostrancevia.
The insect was supposed to be bigger, but what I could find that'd be from the right period/location was tiny and fragmentary, so here we are.
