  1. If you’re tired of thinking, do something simple.
The thoughts stay—but they take a backseat.

  2. Someone wrote that inner peace is the ultimate luxury in a distracted world, and it stuck with me. I think about this a lot — we chase so many things, but what we're really chasing is the ability to be still. To sit with ourselves without reaching for the phone. To be present without needing to be productive. That's not a luxury item. It's a practice. And it starts with one breath. #InnerPeace #Mindfulness #Wellness #MentalHealth #Presence

  3. The male loneliness epidemic keeps trending, and I keep thinking about what Johann Hari wrote: the opposite of addiction isn't sobriety, it's connection. We weren't built for isolation. A text, a call, a walk with someone — these aren't small acts. They're lifelines. If you're reading this and feeling alone, reach out. You matter more than you know. #Loneliness #Connection #MensHealth #MentalHealth #InnerPeace

  5. Question: when you feel the need to scroll, what are you actually reaching for? In my counseling work, I've learned that most compulsive behaviors aren't about the behavior but relief from pain that hasn't been named yet. You're not scrolling because you enjoy feeling distressed. You're scrolling because if you can just stay informed enough, you'll feel safe. But the feed engineered to keep you anxious. Use the PAUSE technique. dub.sh/e00x12h #Mindfulness #MentalHealth #InnerPeace

  7. There's a post going around about how pretending everything is fine to keep the peace will eventually cost you your own peace. Most of us were taught that suppressing emotions is the mature thing to do. But peace bought by abandoning yourself isn't peace — it's a slow leak. Real inner peace starts when you stop performing okay and start being honest about where you are.

  8. I keep seeing posts about Sunday anxiety — that familiar dread that creeps in before Monday even arrives. We rehearse the future as if worry were preparation. But anxiety is a carousel — it only stops when you step off, not when you spin faster. Tonight, before the week begins, try just one breath. Presence over awareness. One moment of actually being here.

  9. There's a difference between solitude and loneliness that most of us learn the hard way. Solitude fills you. Loneliness drains you — even in a room full of people. I've come to believe that loneliness is the real disease underneath so much of what we call addiction, anxiety, and despair. The cure was never more willpower. It's connection — the kind where someone actually sees you.

  10. I WALKED PAST THE FLAMIN’
    OBVIOUS FOR 65 YEARS 💎

There was a period when I left almost all my associations behind. Not dramatically. I simply couldn't do very much else. So I became extraordinarily concerned with myself.

My breathing. My food. My body. My sleep. What time I went to bed. What time I woke. When I ate. When I didn't eat. How I moved. What I allowed into my head. And my meditation.

I BECAME, BY ANY ORDINARY DEFINITION, RATHER SELF-OBSESSED.

    And perhaps I was.

I didn't know anything about discipline. I certainly didn't think of myself as disciplined. Obsession was something I understood, so perhaps I simply turned the obsession towards the only thing I could actually do anything about.

    MY OWN LIFE.

I had a very simple understanding:

I will do everything I can for myself with devotion.

    GOD CAN DO THE REST.

So I worked on the breath. I worked on the body. I worked on how I ate, slept, and lived. I gradually removed things that seemed to interfere. "The blocks to the awareness of love's presence." (ACIM)

And somewhere inside all that apparent self-obsession, something else began multiplying.

    PEACE.

I didn't notice it arriving. There wasn't a revelation. There was just progressively less argument with everything.

Looking back, perhaps the most important thing was that I stopped asking my body to accommodate the life I thought I should be living.

    I began accommodating the body.

If it needs rest, I rest. If it needs breath, I breathe. If something disturbs it, I pay attention.

There's nothing particularly mystical about it.

The extraordinary thing is how simple it eventually became. So simple, in fact, that I managed to walk straight past it for about 65 years.

  11. Been thinking about the loneliness conversation happening online today. Someone said dating apps gave everyone more options and loneliness went up anyway. That's it, isn't it? We keep trying to solve loneliness with more — more options, more apps, more scrolling. But connection isn't something you can optimize for. It shows up when you stop performing and just sit with someone. That's the part we keep skipping.

  14. The loneliness conversation keeps circling back, and I keep noticing how much of it is spent assigning blame instead of offering a way forward. Loneliness isn't a personal failure — it's a condition, and conditions have treatments. In my coaching and counseling work, the pattern is always the same: disconnection precedes the substance, and reconnection precedes the recovery. The substance was never the enemy. The loneliness was.

  15. There's a conversation happening right now about protecting your inner peace, and I think it's catching on because people are exhausted. Not tired — exhausted at a soul level. We've been sold the idea that peace is something you earn, something you chase, something you add to your life. But peace is what's already there underneath the noise. You don't find it. You stop covering it up.

  16. If your thoughts spiral, slow down.
The spiral stays—but you’re not chasing it.

  17. I keep coming back to this phrase: belonging is infrastructure. Not a feeling — the structures that make connection possible: gathering places, shared purpose, the chance to be useful. A new review on male loneliness found young men 18-29 are hurting most, and the primary driver is something we taught them: that needing others is weakness.

  18. I'm feeling angry about P•••r Welfare Services Office. Like, that's a corrupt welfare organisation. This welfare office should be dissolved and a new, better, non-corrupt one should be established.
