I am saddened hearing that Tim Curry has died. And, although I’m equally as emotionally affected by Dolly Parton’s passing the previous day, I fear that Curry’s demise will be overshadowed, as happened with Farrah Fawcett, who had the misfortune of dying on the same day as Michael Jackson.

I just heard that an old friend and colleague with whom I’d lost touch has died. There are lots of things to be said by people closer to them than I had become. But this person was kind, and classy, and creative. And by being all of that, they made the world, and so many other people’s lives, far better. If you know anyone like that, tell them so.

Peter David, the Eisner and GLAAD Media Award-winning comics writer best known for his work on "The Incredible Hulk," has died at age 68. David also wrote for characters such as Captain Marvel and Aquaman, worked on "Star Trek" comics and wrote on the TV shows "Babylon 5 and "Space Cases." He had been ill for a number of years, with a GoFundMe having been launched in 2022 and relaunched on May 20 on behalf of his wife, Kathleen. "Medicaid, which had been taking care of his Long Term Disability, has just dropped him. As a result, medical care and living expenses are mounting beyond current control," the description said. Daniel Kahneman, the Nobel Prize-winning psychologist and author of "Thinking Fast and Slow," died today at age 90. Here's a tribute to him from NPR. "Danny was a giant in the field," said Eldar Shafir, a professor at Princeton. "Many areas in the social sciences simply have not been the same since he arrived on the scene."
