Back in January, I posted (toot'd?) about how I reached out to a coworker who runs our cyber/information security program at work and asked if I could shadow someone from their team. The goal is that I would get some hands-on practical experience that would help me develop in this field.
Took about 2 months, but today I had my 1st introductory team meeting with the ISSEs in our program. After the meeting, some of the ISSEs asked if I was willing to be more involved with some of their future meetings and projects. That was an immediate YES on my part.
I don't know what the future looks like and I don't know what role I will have with their projects, but I am eager and willing to learn from this opportunity!
