  1. An album that I bought as a teen and have listened to continuously - the ninth in a series #InfluentialAlbums #Front242 #FrontByFront - they made hihats sound like knives & played with humourlessness to a degree I still don’t entirely get. Utterly danceable if you were a stompy 16 year old & also occasionally surfaced at early proto raves in the woods when the acid records ran out (join in using the #InfluentialAlbums hashtag and #boost the word around, would love to see others)

  2. An album that I bought as a teen and have listened to continuously - the eighth in a series - #InfluentialAlbums #Momus #TenderPervert - at a time when my tastes were mostly punk / industrial / noise this was a delicate little perverted flower. Recharged my love of lyrics & seemed to capture some of my experiences / thoughts perfectly. I still pretty much can mumble along to every word. 3. An album that I bought as a teen and have listened to continuously - the fifth in a series - #InfluentialAlbums #NurseWithWound #AutomatingVolume2 #industrial #pataphysical - technically a compilation, I suppose, but one of the best NWW releases: surreal, frightening, a bit silly in places and utterly bewildering in the best way (feel free to join in using the #InfluentialAlbums hashtag)

  4. Morning. Today I'm joining in on @REEL's #InfluentialAlbums hashtag with L.A.M.F. by the #Heartbreakers. This is, in my opinion, the greatest American #punk album ever (with love and apologies to Ramones) - punk as performed by virtuosos. In my teens I wore out a cassette copy of the original Track Records vinyl, terrible muddy mixing and all. There's since been several attempts to remaster it, I love all of them but "The lost '77 mixes" is still my go-to.
