The heartrate sensor on the #pinetime its something, as soon as you start moving it badically never gets your pulse anymore.
This is on #InfiniTime eith the kost recent version.
Is #waspos any better?

Hello #android or #Google officionados, does #healthconnect store data on Google services or is it entirely offline / local.
From the API and the fact its shipped with #oasp I figure the later.
But then why does @gadgetbridge exist?
Also why dont't #waspos or #InfiniTime support health-connect.
Would love to learn about this!

PineTime Pro will be a bigger, faster, more capable open source smartwatch
More than six years after Pine64 introduced a cheap smartwatch designed to run open source firmware, the company is preparing to launch a new model. The PineTime Pro isn’t a replacement for the original PineTime (which is still available for $27). But it brings a bunch of upgrades that could make it a better platform for users that want a better screen or support for more complex […]

PineTime from Infinitime to WaspOS
I uploaded from WaspOS binary the bootloader and now I can't connect with my mobile anymore to the pinetime 🙄
I was once connected with my computer but disconnected, now I can't connect it anymore 🙄
I know it's not your OS, but do you have any trick @JF ?

attention all InfiniTime users: the new version (InfiniTime 1.16 "Starfruit") has a new watch face with pride flags!
-
Ooo, maybe I haven't been paying close enough attention, but I haven't seen one of these for a while.
If you've got a PineTime with InfiniTime on it, new software for you in the new year.

Okay it took me more than I want to admit but it's done. Looks pretty nice, it has a slight Cyberpunk vibe to it. The watch is PineTime watch, using InfiniTime firmware.
The corner arrows change color depending on status, and there is very dim battery indicator that gets brighter when it's low. On notifications there's a green bell icon.
Here's the source code for it https://github.com/InfiniTimeOrg/InfiniTime/commit/b865c687c0977e66acee15319a05873e2fa82f3c
(Sadly it's on Github because I was too lazy to upload the whole thing to Codeberg)

Welcome to your new home
@pine64 PineTimeConnecting with @gadgetbridge worked easily. Already upgraded to the newest firmware of @JF Infinitime. Looking forward to the next release.
Let's see what this open source and open hardware smart watch can do.
Thx @cartron and @eve for the positive feedback when asking about your experiences, they were all good, so i got one, you can call yourself now influencers. #smartwatch #pine64 #pinetime #opensource #openhardware #Watch

After a lot of back-and-forth (UI suddenly coming back for a few seconds when battery is low, then freezing again, sometimes backlight on, sometimes off), I somehow managed to revive the watch into recovery mode by pressing the screen hard (read that somewhere). From there, I could reset with a 10s-press. I downgraded to #Infinitime 1.14.1, let's see if that turns this watch into a usable thing again... 🙄

I had updated the #Infinitime to the latest 1.15 a few days ago via #watchmate (and validated the firmware on the watch). Today, when I pressed the button, the watchface appeared for a fraction of a second, then it stayed black and backlit forever.

@dryak @vkc #PineTime can do that as well with #Infinitime firmware. Mine is broken though and Pine64EU is ghosting my warranty case... 🤪

@bustikiller The #infinitime people fight to save every last milliamp 🙏

To be very clear: #InfiniTime is an amazing project, and the #PineTime is the closest analog to an Opensource Pebble I could find.
But an opensource Pebble is pretty much unbeatable for me.

Hello! Thanks for an invite #fosstodon
Finally wrapped my head around how #InfiniTime is built, and how to build custom apps for my #Pine64 #smartwatch.
-
There is a new #InfiniTime version available (1.15.0) which includes bug fixes and a few neat improvements. Updating the firmware is super easy with @gadgetbridge. I am glad this project alive and growing.

I have rebased my pull request to #InfiniTime which adds indicator of enabled alarm to Digital watch face.

Liking the latest #infinitime update for the #pine64 #pinetime
Living in #uk where it's normal to have all 4 seasons of weather in one day, or to have sudden torrential downpours out of nowhere, this will come in very handy! -
#Infinitime 1.14.1 has been released alongside a new bootloader. These updates are mostly to support a new chip being included in new #PineTime shipments, but the new bootloader also fixes boot loops on devices with a very low battery, which my device has done once or twice when I let it die completely. I tried installing the bootloader to fix this but it wouldn't flash; but the firmware flashed just fine.
