I'm loathe to suggest more APIs for our bloated web, but it'd be nice if there's a way for online emulators like PCE.js and #InfiniteMac to tell the browser to not apply any fractional scaling so that retro desktops don't look like total mud.

@mihaip just enabled #InfiniteMac virtual machines to be embedded directly onto a website, and it works so well! I turned this on across https://www.classicmacdemos.com/ and it's a nice improvement to be able to play a game demo or explore a magazine cover CD without even leaving the page.

That's gonna be SICK.
They're working on 10.4 now. Only two more to go.
Not sure how they're going to do Intel emulation. Hopefully it will run as a lightweight vm on intel machines, somehow. -

I've finally gotten around to adding support for #InfiniteMac's new Mac OS X virtual machines to the collection of magazine cover CDs at https://classicmacdemos.com/discs/ . Should make it easier for people to try out some of the game and app demos that were distributed with 2000's-era Macintosh magazines in their browser. Fun!

Okay, I've cataloged the CDs from every issue of #MacFormat magazine in my collection or that I could find online, for a grand total of 101 issues. I found and posted every issue from 1994 (issue 1) through 2000 (issue 98), with a smattering of issues from later years. They can all be explored live on #InfiniteMac .

I'm reworking https://classicmacdemos.com/ pretty significantly, so it's quicker to jump straight into playing a game or exploring a magazine CD on #InfiniteMac. I also want to focus the UX on a single visual style. What do you prefer?

These #InfiniteMac custom disk images are so fast! Booting an emulated Quadra 650, launching a pared-down System 7.5.3, and starting the Prince of Persia demo takes a smidge under two seconds.
Granted, I'm benefiting from some hot caches, but even without that. What a time to be alive.

I just added support for custom #InfiniteMac configurations to the Classic Mac Demos website, and created a custom boot image for the Abuse demo. OMG you *must* try it, it's so fast! Thank you @mihaip ! More to come.

My personal favorite being a Mac 512 running system 2.1 as this was my first experience using a Macintosh. We picked it out of the "take or leave it" shed at the dump in 1992. It was a big step up from the Apple IIe my family had been running up until that point. #infinitemac.
