“This number that we have now is almost certainly an undercount, & one that — when the season is declared over, & they compile all the data — it’s almost certain to go up,” said Dr. Sean O’Leary of the AAP.

I've been thinking about organic gardening, #infectious #parasites and their effect on gardeners, catching up on research I noticed re #diseases in ancient Egyptian civilisations.
Given that as society breaks down we are going turn more and more more to #human waste spread on land both as means of disposal and enrichment, what can do to protect ourselves from intestinal and skin parasites? (#Roundworm, #tapeworm etc)
I know we already use composting toilets etc, but this relies on #composting human waste for around a year (or more) and maybe there will be a need to speed up (ot shortcut) the process as "normal" society collapses.
