Beyond was the Beckton gas works, opened by the Gas Light and Coke Company in 1870. Closed 1976.

My partner and I visited a carpenter in Par this afternoon and were somewhat surprised by his location in a converted engine shed next to a line that is used by Imreys that goes down to Par docks. Some handy pics for #ModelRailway, #Railway and #IndustrialArcheology peeps.
