  2. First Nation communities in Ontario issued a moratorium on glyphosates because, among other things, they increase risk of forest fires. The glyphosate was sprayed anyway.

    Entire Indigenous communities have been destroyed in these fires. No aid was sent.

  6. Until the middle of last year, I was taking Inuktitut and Anishinaabemowin lessons. I no longer have access to these classes and don’t have anyone to practice with, so my words are going away. I think Canada should put at least as much energy and money into restoring these languages as it did in trying to wipe them out.
