Cat reviews Upscaled by Joseph John Lee, saying it "brings in a lot of humour, there are some moments I found myself laughing out loud at the silliness of it all and the tale builds up to a brilliant ending" & it's "a ya, but it feels like it would suit middle grade readers too seeing as Ailis is that age group and the adventure is very much a middle grade one."

Ollie reviews Bookstories by Sarah Tollok, which they say "does a great job of giving you that “small-world!” excitement- two seemingly disconnected characters meet, or things seem to come full-circle, and it made me want to scream with joy. There are so many smaller stories, interconnected, packed into one giant story. And I loved every one of them."

So many people signed up to vote this year that our email system collapsed under the pressure and we had to upgrade to the paid plan. Way to go readers! We're humbled and amazed by all the participation from the #ReadingCommunity

  20. Voting is now open for the Indie Ink Awards! We got an incredible 3300+ nominations across over 680 indie books and now it's time to whittle them down to a manageable number for our judges. 24. I wrote up a brief summary of the awards my novels have been nominated for, I would be so appreciative if you took the time to support me and place a vote in the #IndieInkAwards #lgbtbooks #lgbtqbooks #disabledauthors #lgbtqauthors

  25. You can purchase A LAKE OF FEATHERS AND MOONBEAMS on my website directly at daxmurray.com/books and use discount code INKAWARDS to get 90% off!

As a bonus, use INKAWARDS2 for SHADES AND SILVER, THE MAGIC SURRENDERED and BIRTHING ORION also on daxmurray.com/books, just hit the "BUY NOW" button! ✨

Thank you to everyone who nominated me, I am over the moon! Especially SHADES AND SILVER, that book is so personal to me since it's basically me processing the ways in which my concussion and mental illnesses leave me disabled. Thank you!

  26. Both A LAKE OF FEATHERS AND MOONBEAMS and SHADES AND SILVER are nominated for "Writing the Future We Need: Trans or Nonbinary Representation"

Princen Alexis (they/them) in ALOFAM is a POV Character and is genderfluid/non-binary.

(Alexis is also the kid of a cis woman and a trans woman, and his third parent is an ace man. Are monarchies problematic? Yes. But at least the polyam triad of monarchs is setting a good example on healthy communication in relationships?)

Everyone in SHADES AND SILVER is non-binary, as the Ástfríður do not have a concept of gender and are quite perplexed by the races and cultures that do have gender.

  27. A LAKE OF FEATHERS AND MOONBEAMS is also nominated for "Write the Future We Need: Bisexual or Biromantic Representation"

And just look at these three disaster bisexuals.

ALOFAM is a polyam f/f/nb SWAN LAKE retelling, and yeah, everyone is bi.
