After a #GOP #DOJ #GrandJury proceeding #Florida #Democrat Congresswoman of Haitian-American descent Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick has been #indicted for allegedly taking $5 million in #FEMA funding from running a #COVID-19 #vaccination clinic and funneling exce$$ into her first ever Congressional #campaign.
A recent addition to #Congress, Ms. Cherfilus-McCormick won a special election to fill her seat in 2022, pouring an astounding $2.3 million dollars of "her own money" into her campaign, winning "bigly" with 78% of the vote. This no doubt put her on the #Drumpf team radar.
The new #PamBondi #MAGA approved charges could result in decades of #prison time if the mother of two who represents #BrowardCounty, and parts of the #TrumpCountry enclave Palm Beach, were ultimately to be convicted.

The #Wisconsin Judge #HannahDugan who was arrested last month & accused of helping an undocumented immigrant evade federal agents was #indicted by a federal #GrandJury on charges of concealing a person from arrest & #obstruction, a routine but significant step in #DOJ’s case against her. The #Trump admin has defended the prosecution as a warning that no one is above the #law, while many #Democrats, #lawyers & fmr #judges have denounced it as an assault on the #judiciary.
