"Loser" is a single by American musician #Beck. It was written by Beck and record producer #CarlStephenson, who both produced the song with #TomRothrock. "Loser" was initially released as Beck's second single by #independentRecordLabel #BongLoadCustomRecords on #12inchVinyl format with catalog number BL5 on March 8, 1993. When it was first released independently, "Loser" began receiving airplay on various #modernRock stations.

"Radio Free Europe" is the debut single by American #alternativeRock band #REM, released in 1981 on the short-lived #independentRecordLabel #HibTone. The song features "what were to become the trademark unintelligible lyrics which have distinguished R.E.M.'s work ever since." The single received critical acclaim, and its success earned the band a record deal with #IRSRecords. R.E.M. re-recorded the song for their 1983 debut album #Murmur.
