Okay, Maybe I was getting a little excited about bread 4. I think I really nailed it with this one! I added some sun dried tomatoes, and a little feta cheese. I also think I finally got the gluten and windowpane tests right with this one.
It makes delicious salmon grilled cheese sandwiches! I couldn't resist
Bread 5 is coming.... but I ran out of whole wheat bread- and the once voracious starter (tripled in size on its feeding for bread 4) is now growing tired of bread flour. I gotta get different flour, so I added in 1 percent commercial yeast for bread 5. Basil an rosemary are in the next loaf :)
I already ate half of the loaf- the other half is for crit night- tomorrow at 6pm at Urbanglass

A #MacroPhotograph of a #blue #quartz crystal. The normally colorless quartz is colored blue by sodium, silicates other than quartz, or sometimes iron being included in the crystal. It’s clear that the distribution of #inclusions is not even throughout the crystal, but more prevalent in the center, making it bluer than the endges.

This weekend's bake: rosemary and lemon sourdough. I'm pretty happy with this one, but maybe I used too much lemon peel or got too much pith in there...it has a funny tongue-numbing effect. It's pretty, though!
