Proposal to call what now seems to be called “in-context learning” instead “priming”.
I can see how “prompting” doesn’t fully cover the aspect of making use of examples, but to me “learning” seems to need to have a longer lasting effect. “Priming” better covers the aspect of setting the model up to retrieve what you need from its weights, this one time.
