If true, then the criticisms of anti-shippers wind up saying a lot more about the anti-shippers' own closet desires and less about the artist's. And this conclusion is supported by the growing prevalence of #zoophiles hiding within anti-shipper communities. And this, for the same reason that pedophiles are so often found within anti-trans or "gender critical" communities: because bad people know that it is much easier to hide in plain sight, as someone claiming that a marginalized group is responsible for evil, rather than within the marginalized group that is being actively accused.
And this is the unfortunate truth of being a #reactionary engaging in #bigotry. Hate is not spawned from thin air; it is born from fear. And often, it's not just fear of the #unknown, but fear of the #impulses one hides within the shadows of one's soul. Erotic furry artists aren't hiding, nor are they attacking others. So one has to wonder what hides behind the hate of an anti-shipper and behind the gross tendency that they have to #hypersexualize every work of art they see as emblematic of #perversion.
Because that shit is weird.
