About 7 months ago, I approached Premee Mohamed to see if she would write a climate fiction story for Grist, which would be published outside of the #Imagine2200 contest.

She sent in this delightful piece about a young woman getting separated from her nomadic city during a storm. It was a joy for me to edit this story, and now everyone can read it!

The 2nd place winner “The Last Almond” by Zoe Young ends with one of those poignant images that sticks with you, which I think the illustrator Mikyung Lee captured perfectly!

👀 The newest #Imagine2200 Editor's Pick story is "When We Are Ruins, Dance on Us" by M Jesuthasan

This story blew my mind the first time I read it! It's from the point of view of the former Supreme Court of Singapore--the building itself! It's a fascinating piece of #ClimateFiction that's both dystopian and hopeful, both grounded and mystical.
