* et le centre hospitalier refuse de signer électroniquement, pour des raisons pratiques que je comprends

I use a wide-ranging definition of technology, not just high technology: writing, clothing, monetary systems, hand washing with soap, etc.

As Ivan #illich Marshall #McLuhan and others have noted: we shape our tools, and our tools shape us.

Oof. Almost forgot. I finished my read of the infamous "Gender" from Ivan #Illich.

His point is that when capitalism started, it tried to suck labor and to make everyone a consumer.

One way of doing that was to destroyed "vernacular gender" (which had gendered everything, like two separate humanity culture/tool/occupation ; two heterogeneous power ; intricate cooperation needed).

"Making everything" unisex allowed to double the empire and workforce of capitalism -is what he's saying I think.

J'ai commencé à lire Ivan #Illich : énergie et équité. C'est bluffant de modernité bien qu'écrit dans les années 1970.

Mais le mot « crise » n'a pas forcément ce sens. Il n'implique pas nécessairement une ruée forcenée vers l'escalade de la gestion. Il peut au contraire signifier l'instant du choix, ce moment merveilleux où les gens deviennent brusquement conscients de la cage où ils se sont enfermés eux-mêmes, et de la possibilité de vivre autrement. Et cela, c'est la #crise à laquelle sont confrontés aujourd'hui les États-Unis, mais aussi le monde entier - c'est l'instant du choix."
