Fireworks of any kind are banned in the county where I live but every year several families still fire off a "safe & & sane" but illegal display of fireworks on my court.

It's a big multi-family affair &everyone in attendance seems to enjoy it.

I'm the only single person living on the court. So I'm the designated GOM (Grumpy Old Man) but I'm cordial enough to not "report" the event, even though I find it annoying (much like Halloween) but I'm prepared for it.

The event only lasts a couple of hours & there are only a few additional bursts of firecrackers & cherry bombs set off by others

I just stay inside the house & watch the July 4th "celebrations" & "fireworks" displays on TV which is the same thing I do on New Years Eve. However, on Halloween, I turn off all the lights are go out to see a movie.

Bah humbug! LOL! 😎
