TIL at #IKTForum that #Joomla once integrated an #AccessibilityOverlay. However, they found that it was not accepted by their users because those who need help have already generally adjusted settings in their browsers. Therefore, I was told, they removed the overlay again.

Today I learned:
#Audism, is the discrimination against Deaf people by giving a feeling of “hearing people know better“. It is the belief that the ability to hear makes one superior to those with hearing loss.

Es ist DIE Fachtagung im deutschsprachigen Raum mit Schwerpunkten wie #AssistierendeTechnologien, #barrierefreies #Webdesign und #PDFs, Vorträge in #LeichterSprache sowie #Inklusion und #Empowerment.
Und als wär das noch nicht überzeugend genug bin auch ich mit einem Vortrag dabei 📣 🤓
