Last thursday IKOB was visiting the fantastic (mainly) artist run space called STORAGE MUSEUM in Düsseldorf. They have joined forces with IMAI and hosted with ICH SAGE DIE ZEIGE MIT DEN ZEICHEN IM ZEIGEN DER SAGE one of the most radical shows I have seen in a long time. Almost all works are out of deaf artist perspectives. A must see this season.

Yesterday, we hosted Walter Schulz, who presented his book about Hari Hünerbein, his grand-grandmothers older brother, who left Eupen, with parts of her savings, lived in Cologne and only came back once to give the money plus interests back to his sister. Her family survived WW1 with that money. The book put the flashlight on those, who usually are just forgotten. Yesterday 130 curious art lovers attended the opening of Wolfgang Nestler's "Werdeformen" at IKOB museum in Eupen. It was a great experience seeing his work which sometimes date back to the 70s looking contemporary and still giving proof to the facto, that art doens't need an academic title to be understood.

We just published a new text in our museums blog. The title is "Workflowversprechen und Beharrungsagonie – Der lange Weg zur digitalen Selbstbestimmung im Museum". Unfortunatelly it's in german, but a translating machine might do the magic?! It is a text about digital souvereignty, digital self-defence and the duty of cultural institutions to be more aware about the surveillance industry than others.

Today we visited "Die Queere Moderne" at K20 in Düsseldorf. The exhibition is great - no doubt about that. We highly recommend going there and to bring some time. The curators offer many books and films, the walltexts are quite informative too
