A little fix!
I like these Ikea "Olov" adjustable table legs, because you can set your table-surface to a height that suits you. I have several different tables each made from four of these and a piece of reclaimed wood.
But I dislike the faint rattling noise made by their metal innards when you work at the table, or when you even walk nearby!
Threading a bit of yarn through the springy bit dampens the rattling, and as far as I can tell, it doesn't cause any problem to the mechanism.
I do this to all of them now, before applying them to their table-job. You can just unscrew the one piece of tube from the other to get to the mechanism, and screw it back up again afterwards.

The tool wall is finished! IKEA BESTÅ, SKÅDIS, UPPDATERA, and a whole lot of 3D modeling and printing.
I bought the furniture last November. I built the furniture in December. I spent the next six months modeling the custom hangers, and today I published all the 3D printed parts to Printables. Done done. Hooray!
