Super long shot but here goes. I have a 9 year old iKBC Poker II keyboard with USB-C. The keyboard worked with the USB-C cable it came with (which has since broke) and it works with the USB-C to A cable it has as well. However I cannot connect a normal USB-C cable to it. I’ve tried a dozen from Anker, Apple, etc. It fits fine but nothing happens on Mac/Linux.
Reddit suggests there’s something unusual about this keyboards USB-C connector but does anyone happen to know what specifically I need to do in order to get a normal USB-C cable to work with it as a keyboard? #mechanicalkeyboard #ikbc
