I didn't know how the light would be at the kingfisher spot in the evening, but it wasn't great. However thanks to #DXO Photolab 9 I still got a great photo, even at 12800 ISO, 1/1250.
Going again tomorrow morning for some sunlight as the position should be perfect during golden hour. Hopefully some more cool action shots.

This morning after an unfruitful attempt to spot the barn owls at sunrise, we went to a nearby area where there is lots of kingfisher activity.

Managed to photograph a few #kingfishers yesterday at #Bloeidaal, and even got lucky with a sharp in-flight shot!
These were all taken in pretty dark light, so I'm glad they turned out quite nice.

En hij was al juichend thuis gekomen. Hij fietst al een tijdje zelfstandig terug van school en fietst dan door #NatuurgebiedKardinge . Hij zag onderweg een lege pedaalemmerzak bijna in de sloot waaien en stopte om ‘m te pakken.
“En toen -páf- een blauwe flits. Zo een ijsvogel vlak langs me. Dat was vast goede karma mam :) “

Wat een geluk vandaag, nog maar net in het #bos, stond ik een #roofvogel te filmen. Hoor en zie ik ineens een #ijsvogel op krap 10m. Ik stel me verdekt op in de hoop dat xij terugkomt want ik hoor het nog. Sta ik te filmen en komt er een #eekhoorn uit de boom waar ik tegenaan sta. #natuurliefhebbers

Vanmorgen zag en hoorde ik tot mijn verbazing op 10 meter afstand een #ijsvogel bij een #bospoel. Ik denk een onervaren jong. Ik kon het een hele tijd observeren en tot mijn verrassing ving het ook nog een visje.
