The Applied Networking Research Prize awards for #IETF117 will go to:
Simon Scherrer for his work on modelling the BBR congestion control algorithm (“Model-Based Insights on the Performance, Fairness, and Stability of BBR", ACM IMC 2022); and
Siva Kesava Reddy Kakarla for his work on verifying the correctness of nameservers ("SCALE: Automatically Finding RFC Compliance Bugs in DNS Nameservers", NSDI 2022)
Look out for their award talks during the IRTF Open Meeting at IETF 117 in San Francisco, from 13:00-15:00 Pacific on Thursday 27th July, and online.

With #IETF117 approaching, time to update some existing work and propose new drafts.
Tim is working on updating RFC 8416 (SLURM) with support for ASPA in #RPKI (https://github.com/NLnetLabs/draft-sidrops-slurm-aspa). Philip continues his work on control options for #DNS client proxies (https://github.com/NLnetLabs/draft-homburg-dnsop-codc), and Willem contributes to DNS out-of-protocol signalling (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-grubto-dnsop-dns-out-of-protocol-signalling/).
