In one of their videos they recommended that you should try a frequency sweep after using the AutoEQ feature of squig.link
Through this I think I realized that I might be quite sensitive to treble.
The green line is what feels comfortable to me and the dotted line is a target that many people feel comfortable and in some areas it is still a bit much for my ears.

Bought a (used) #KZ #IEM (a ZS10) because I wanted to try something with good isolation for work. Its metal grill thingy immediately fell out from one side, so I spent a good 30m today cleaning it with IPA and putting micropore tape in its place. Also took off the remaining grill as a preventative measure and swapped that too.
Not sure why, but that fucked up the balance, the right side sounded like 3 times louder than the left. Tried to apply the tape in different ways, swapped the tips too, took off the tape from the right side, reapplied it, cleaned the left again, etc.
Now after a lot of trial and error it sounds mostly balanced, but idk what fixed it.Anyways, glad that I could #repair it. :neofox_uwu:

Yep, after a couple of years loving the idea of ChiFi IEMs and landing on the Blessing 3 I've gotten my hands on a Technics AZ100.
I can't tell the difference in detail between the two now that I've gotten some foam tips for the AZ100s.
So I guess it's ebay time for the IEMs, bluetooth DACs and whatevers.
It was fun while I was placeboing myself into the idea that big chonkin buds sounded better.
I'm probably just too old for this crap.

Z początku byłem trochę sceptycznie nastawiony do dźwięku moich nowych #IEM AFUL explorer, szczególnie po przesiadce z Truthear zero:red, jednak po paru godzinach słuchania, już się przestawiłem. Dużo cieplej, bas dużo bardziej odczuwalny, góra łagodniejsza, przy trip-hopie czy ambient techno bardzo przyjemnie grają, wręcz genialnie. Nu-metal i hardcore niestety troszkę gorzej, brakuje trochę detali, mimo wszystko raczej redy będą służyły jako laptopowe słuchawki. Oczywiście design samych słuchawek też na duży +. Redy w mojej opinii są po prostu neutralne, mają inny dźwięk, niekoniecznie gorszy.

- Audio: Truthear x Crinacle Zero Blue. Switched to IEMs for PC use because the sound positioning in games is incredible. For music, they don't beat the AirPods, but for everything else, they are solid. Powered by GoXLR Mini.
The Productivity Hub (Mac)
- Device: MacBook Pro M4 Pro (24GB RAM).
- Input: Rainy 75 + MX Master 3S. The Rainy 75 is here for one reason: the typing experience. The sound is just addictive for coding and documentation.
- Wait until you see the modded NuPhy Node 75 I have coming in — that's a story for a separate post. ⌨️
The Triple Monitor Grid
- Main: Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 (27").
- Vertical: Samsung Odyssey G5 (27") — for Discord, documentation, and terminal windows.
- Top: MSI MAG 342CQR E2 (34" Ultrawide) — my "everything else" dashboard.
Currently diving into Go on the Mac while keeping my Misskey feed active on the OLED. It’s a setup built for flow, where every tool has its purpose.

The ear muffs are chunky and if I play fast, they get really sweaty. Maybe there is a smaller and more comfortable way.
