Number-plate rotation schemes can reduce congestion and fuel-intensive driving.5. Increase car sharing and adopt efficient driving practices
Higher car occupancy and eco-driving can lower fuel consumption quickly.6. Efficient driving for road commercial vehicles and delivery of goods
Better driving practices, vehicle maintenance and load optimisation can cut diesel use.7. Divert LPG use from transport
Shifting bi-fuel and converted vehicles from LPG to gasoline can preserve LPG for cooking and other essential needs.8. Avoid air travel where alternative options exist

Driver of this 4x4 felt it was acceptable to park outside cafe, in front of people and leave engine running while they ordered takeaway coffees.
Politely asked them to turn it off next time.
Interesting head space to have ‘save ledge’ beach stickers but think a diesel puking fumes at people for 5 minutes is ok.

CW: Nasty Evri courier
Just had a run in with a local #Evri driver. She'd left her car to deliver a parcel but with the engine #idling, creating unnecessary pollution; also illegal given drivers must not leave their vehicles while the engine is running.
All I said was, "you know you've left your engine running?" and off she went. I know, don't engage, but it's so infuriating how antisocial & inconsiderate these people can be. If turning a key is such hard work, how are they competent to drive?

The sun's out and it's not particularly cold. At least five drivers on the school run sat parked up, engines idling, browsing phones. The excuse of it being too cold so heating is needed/too hot so AC is needed wears a bit thin this time of year. So, why do it?
