The 20th century will be remembered as the point when humans began to lose the magic of direct face-to-face communication.
Will the 21st will be remembered as the 'end of thinking' as machines swamp creativity too?
All of this feeds our idleness.
I hope communication will settle into distinct layers and we'll develop a sense for distinguishing original from #slop
Maybe we can also develop an economic tool to incentivise originality 🤔 -

Tit for tat ≠ Tat for tit
I guess the "for" operator is not commutative in this context.

Pondering what an alternate formulation of Markdown optimised for mobile keyboards could look like. On my phone I have easy access to letters, comma, and full stop.
Something like:
x One
x TwoFor ULs, and for OLs:
x. One
x. TwoNot sure about links. ,maybe something like,https://wezm.net/ ? Hmm don't love that.
Anyway, just idle thoughts.

Sometimes, it is with sadness that I observe coldness or detachmentfrom other people. I wonder if I have ever been perceived that way? #IdleThoughts

8AM and the house is still quiet
I'm sprawled out ok the couch really enjoying the chill start today has served.Idly plotting about when in the year I might be able to age verify by providing the @tyrant an appreciation beverage, and am quietly horrified at the realisation of time poverty I exist in currently

If we assemble passenger transport modes into a hierarchy, ordered by speed and distance covered (e.g., air travel at the top, long distance high speed trains below, then regional trains, urban rail, subway, tram, cycling, walking), then the rule should be that in any multimodal trip we should only need to ascend, then descend the hierarchy.
Having to walk between train stations to transfer, or not having high speed rail directly at the airport violates this rule.

If the Fabric of Space and Time can be folded to navigate to a different point in space, then couldn't it also be used to navigate to a different point in time? Regardless of the direction?

Theseus' bash commands:
Was cleaning up my .bash_aliases file and noticed that I have accumulated ~150 aliased commands & only about 20 functions. Most are just replacing a default command with flags & options. Some are 4 or 5 chained together.
My muscle-memory & daily workflow is made up of all kinds of convoluted mnemonics in a kind of bash-pidgin dialect.
Be a real shame if something happened to this nice file.🤔
