[Rouses Point Bridge](https://www.waterwayguide.com/bridge/3-2127/rouses-point-bridge) may only 56 foot clearance, so it's a no go if I want to visit Quebec in a boat with a mast that's 62 feet above the water. 😢

I've been toying with the crazy idea buying a boat big enough to live on and #Sailing to my parent's place in the summers to help out, but the journey is crazy long and the last part would be in the The Intracoastal Waterway (#ICW). The boat I'm thinking of has a 60 foot mast that requires a crane to unstep, and would require hundreds of miles of motoring. Maybe this commercial #Kite system would allow sailing between the bridges and locks? No pricing shown 😏

I love it when I pass another boat and we take pictures of each other and swap them. Photos show a picture of me in my boat shot by the folks in Stormy Petrel and one of my shots of Stormy Petrel. It was light out when I woke up at 6:20 AM. That’s “sleeping in” in my world and I’ll take it!

Foggy outside, outgoing tide is keeping my boat snug against the dock. Thinking about blueberry pancakes for breakfast to get rid of the bisquick and blueberries.

If the sun comes out before I leave, I’ll take my pups for another hike on the island. Only 30 miles to go today; the tide changes around 8:40, but I’ll likely wait until around noon to get on my way.

I'm at one of my favorite anchorages, listening to the sound of the ocean on the other side of a narrow strip of land where I take my pups several times a day. A lot of the boats that were here on my last visit are gone but there are still a bunch here. None of them park anywhere near my spot in the relative shallows, close to land. I need to move on but know I'll miss collecting perfect shells from a deserted beach and hearing the sound of the waves. #boating #BoatLife #ICW #Florida

We had a nice #sunset. #boating #ICW

13.9 miles to go. After so many No Wake zones, I've opened it up to 3000 RPM, which is giving me about 15 knots. The water is very smooth with only a light wind-generated chop.

Passed two nice looking powerboats since crossing Merritt Island. Also seeing lots of dolphins (or porpoises?) and four pink flamingos.

And did I mention seeing rockets standing up on launchpads off in the distance? What a crazy day.
