  1. My last batch of "proper" photos came along in 2021. By that point, I'd wandered into abstraction, and it became apparent that I'd run out of ideas (and passion) for creative #photography -- or, at least, for photography using traditional methods. #trees #beach #icecrystals

  6. Out and About – Frosty Items

Here are some black and white images of frost and ice crystals taken on two different days last year. In November, we walked around a part of Fornebu, just outside of Oslo, and enjoyed the crystals growing on various items — and in December, I shot a bit of frosty nature around our garden. I always love when ice crystals grow on those frosty, humid mornings. It’s the “good” kind of ice.

A frosty lock on a brygge A bit of frost on the wood denoting a parking spot The brygge itself was frosty (and slippery!) More wood with ice crystals-a-growing Ice crystals growing even on some random plastic jug left about A frosty spiky seed pod Little islands of baby crystals trying to grow on the lid of our compost bin Four-leaf and frosty Cold, curled leaves Frost on our thujas too Long, long grass at Fornebu Shorter, thick grass in our garden Fancy crystals growing on the frozen surface of a water dish in the garden #Abstract #AbstractPhotography #BlackAndWhitePhotography #Frost #Frozen #Ice #IceCrystals #Norway #Photoblog #Photography #winter

  12. Had a good amount of rain, then night frost. That means sick ass ice crystals on the ground cover and I *have* to bring out the macro for that! Please click on them so you can see the details :D

  17. ❄️ Fresh snow transforms landscapes into brilliant white, yet ice crystals begin as transparent structures. Through multiple scattering at ice–air interfaces, light is redirected in all directions, creating the whiteness we see.
