Wie die #Bundesregierung den nächsten #Abgasskandal verteidigt.

Zehn Jahre nach dem #VW- #Abgasskandal stehen wir vor dem nächsten - diesmal mit #Plug_in_Hybriden. Eine am 2. Juni 2026 veröffentlichte Studie des International Council on Clean Transportation ( #ICCT ) belegt, dass in der #EU zwischen 2021 und 2025 rund 100 Millionen Tonnen #CO2 mehr ausgestoßen wurden als die Hersteller offiziell angeben.

Die @Bundesregierung wurde 2021 durch das #BVerfG verpflichtet, die notwendige signifikante Reduktion der #Treibhausgasemissionen für die Zeit nach 2030 bereits vor 2030 einzuleiten – stattdessen macht die aktuelle Koalition aus #CDU und #SPD gleich an mehreren Stellen das Gegenteil.

Plug-in-Hybride (#PHEV) emittierten 2021 bis 2025 EU-weit 100 Mio. Tonnen CO₂ mehr als von den Herstellern angegeben und in der offziellen CO₂-Bilanz berechnet, wie eine aktuelle Studie des #ICCT zeigt.

Das Problem ist bereits länger bekannt, auch durch eine Studie, die vom @umweltministerium selbst in Auftrag gegebene wurde.

Die @EUCommission will 2027 die Berechnugsgrundlage für PHEV anpassen, doch die #Bundesregierung will das verhindern und folgt damit wider besseren Wissens den falschen Angaben der #Autoindustrie.

Darüber hinaus subventioniert die Bundesregierung Plug-in-Hybride durch das #Dienstwagenprivileg noch stärker als Vebrenner-Pkw und fördert damit unter dem Vorwand des Klimaschutzes den Absatz teurer und klimaschädlicher Pkw für die oberen Einkommensklassen.

Good piece by Marie Rajon Bernard of #ICCT on what Member States should do to improve the #EPBD provision on #EV charging, such as the 'right to plug'. For EV users (and buildings, grids) to benefit from EV flexibility, ensuring they can plug in in multi-occupancy buildings is an important factor.

New report from #ICCT compares total cost of ownership of truck 🚚🚛decarbonisation pathways in Europe.

Across all truck segments, battery electric is the lowest cost option in 2030, -20% compared to diesel (the current default fuel).

The #ICCT (International Council on Clean Transportation) has investigated how the world's twenty largest car companies are managing the transition to #electromobility.

In the overall ranking, #Tesla leads ahead of the Chinese group #BYD. #BMW is well behind in third place and the #Volkswagen Group in fourth. #Mercedes-Benz is in eighth place.

The bottom six places are taken by #Toyota, #Honda, #Nissan, #Mazda and #Suzuki and the Indian #Tata Group.
