I made a tiny bit of progress with working on my #IBM5150 today.
I was able to read an a 2764 IC today with my T48 EPROM programmer.
Now, to erase a couple of ICs so I can reprogram them with Rudd's diagnostic ROM.

Ok, dumb noob question about creating a Ruud's diagnostic ROM for my IBM 5150 64k-256k board. This is the first time I'm using any of this stuff.
I have 4 MCM68766 EPROMs from eBay, T48 programmer, & Xgpro v13.16 on a Windows 11 Pro PC.
I load the IC into the T48 in the correct orientation. In Xgpro, I load ruuds_diagnostic_rom_v5.5_8kb.bin. Then click PROG & I get "Pin in incorrect postion!" error.
What the heck am I doing wrong?!

After coming back from #VCFEast2026 I felt a little bad about neglecting my #IBM5150 restoration project. So I spent some time buying some replacement chips. Hopefully I’ll be able to a diagnostic ROM running to help locate the bad RAM in bank 0.

Something seems off with the AMD 8088 CPU at U3 on my #IBM5150 that I am trying to restore for #DOScember.
Pin 22 Ready should go HIGH when the CPU is ready to start executing code. The view on the oscilloscope shows high then low. Not good.

Well, I had the dip switches set incorrectly and it was trying to test memory that didn't exist. Fixed that and the floppy drives seem to work as well...
I'm also impressed that the Dell System 200 DOS 3.3 Master disk (circa 1987) is still working.
