Hired student on job placement to help enhance PARADISEC collection. Student learned valuable skills, collection enriched.

Training guides eventually get developed into PARADISEC workflows. Useful for internal staff as how-to. Also great for external resource.

Origin of curriculum, 10-days course by request of Charles Sturt Master of Info Studies. Thanks to Covid-19 lock down. 10-days course becomes 10-weeks course. Linguistics students joined as well.

Shruti Nagpal concluded her talk with a rhetorical question, "If there can ever be a return to an 'Innocent Past'". This was after she shared a digital detox experiment called "Siren project" in India. Students were to stay away from digital gadgets 7am-7pm.

From research, Whisper seems to outperform all other Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) options. Although there's obviously more room for improvement.
