When I was a kid in the 90s, I remember my dad watching classic Tom Baker episodes of Doctor Who from 20 years prior.
My kids are now watching some of my favorite David Tennent episodes of Doctor Who. I just realized that those episodes are now coming up on being 20 years old.
David Tennent is my Tom Baker.

I was raised thinking life was like a hill. Once you get over the top, the rest is a breeze. Considering I'm still going uphill at my age, I think I'm going to live forever.

Just scheduled surgery for my trigger thumb. It will be my first medical treatment on #Medicare.
We tried the steroid shot and although it relieved the pain and reduced the swelling, the thumb still "clicks." I want my left hand functioning normally!

OK, which one of you clowns decided that Monserrat should be the standard web font???
No one? Fine, I’ll just take the hit out on the designer. Because it is garbage.

I just realized that my wasband's niece — still my niece, or does divorce cancel that, too? — who I haven't seen in at least 20 years, turned 40 today. She was born the day of the Challenger disaster.

The year was 1996 and #MagicTheGathering was a relatively new game (surely a new game in Italy). A lot of my friends were playing, and while I never spent a enormous amount of money on it, I played it too for a while.
Riding the wave of its success there were many "side" products, related to the game but not part of it, including this book of puzzles that used the cards available at the time to create what were effectively Maths puzzles. Some where easy, some were fiendishly difficult, all were fun to try to solve. -

There’s probably a few people who don’t understand why I bothered posting that.
It’s simple: #IAmOld.The first electronic data storage devices I used was a stack of 5MB (1/200,000th of a TB) drives from Tandy/Radio Shack, each in a full AT-sized case. Each cost thousands of dollars in the early ‘80s.
A decade later my boss spent ~$2k to buy a 2GB Barracuda, in a full-height external case. I scolded him for buying more room than we'd ever need.

Do you think anyone under 40 years old would understand the phrase “gapping the points”?

@alda NWN was actually the first real game I played on Linux back in the day. Might need to revisit that classic again this holiday season.

I remember the flying dreams, but I don't think they were because I was a bird in a former life, I think it was oxygen deprivation while I was asleep. A couple years of CPAP therapy (nasal pillows ftw they don't leave a mark) and I don't have those dreams anymore. Or that one about being late for class.

What's that work thing that I keep forgetting about until I run into it while doing something else and realize that I really need to fix that?
Why don't you know?
