  1. Remembered I never got more than like 15 minutes into #Hytale. Gosh this game is pretty and has a lot of built in QoL upgrades (both obviously in comparison to #minecraft or, more recently for me, #VintageStory).

  6. Discovered the Histatu server for Hytale today; looks pretty great with lots of dungeons and raid content

  7. One of my favorite parts (so far) is the tiny little apartment building I built in the bottom corner of the second floor.

    It gave me a good chance to play around with Hytale's dying system, which is nothing new or novel but is different enough that it's exciting-ish. I made custom banners for the outside, and then gave each individual apartment their own room their own "color".

    It also gave me a good excuse to use a bunch of the Lost Civilization furniture I've been slowly reclaiming from the Cinder Wastes as I go. Individual apartments are not huge, but... cozy? I hope?

  12. Meant to post some more pics - this is the store(house) on the yellow floor, a place where the residents of the yellow floor could pick up supplies to cook food for themselves. I tried to make it look as grocery-store-y as possible.

    I really wish Hytale had more options for item placement - Mincraft has developed a bunch of shelf and item display technology, first in the form of mods and then later as built-in game systems, while Hytale is still running off of the same "all items are BLOCK" logic, meaning that a huge-ass pumpkin and a single ear of corn both take up the same amount of space in-game (a single block).

    It makes doing any kind of shelving thing... daunting. I'm using platforms for the shelves and what are technically officially ladders for the outer edges so that there's still plenty of room to maneuver around things.

  17. Inspired by the "Mega Builds" that they do on Hermitcraft, I am still hammering away at my pet project on the #Hytale server that I'm on.

    If you don't recall, I am digging out the area under an iceberg and building a secret underground city. Each "floor" is dedicated to a specific concept or task, and they're all color coded because shiny crystal rocks colors make the autistic brain go brrrrr.

    I have so far completed the first and second floors, and have finally started excavation on the third floor.

#GiochiPC #Notizievideogiochi #Hytale

  23. I love that the #Hytale devs understand that when you have chickens there's always one hen that's just a little bit crazier than the others.

  28. Ran into an issue when updating Hytale for my Warlock installer; their downloader is throwing a 403 forbidden when attempting to retrieve the downloader helper application for installing the game, (not even the game install, the helper). Weird.

    Went to their Discord and noticed I didn't have access to the verified channels anymore, also weird.

    Went to my account on their site and clicked 'connect' on Discord and was presented with a rather extensive list of permissions.

    Some of it makes sense, accessing profile information, username, and email; alright, they already have that so whatever.

    But then, "Manage your friends list and blocked users"; "Access your server and channel details"; "Access your friends list and THEIR status";

    ... What the actual fuck?!? Why would they be requesting so many permissions?!?

    Also back to the original issue, why the fuck is downloading their downloader throwing a 403???
