Wieso werden seit Monaten keine neuen Blogs aufgenommen? Kann man da vielleicht auch helfen? Ich halte sie für wichtige Infrastruktur und fände es schade, wenn sie unbemerkt und ohne Rettungsversuch kaputtginge.
Aber vielleicht ist es ja auch gar nicht so schlimm?

Bonne nouvelle pour mon billet de blog "Filtres et facettes dans les portails patrimoniaux, les bonnes pratiques" : l'équipe d'Hypothèses vient de m'informer que l'administrateur système d'Hypothèses a réussi à régler mon problème de brouillon bloqué depuis 2 mois !
Le problème venait d'un volume trop important de texte (89 Mo au lieu de 16 Mo max pour les billets Hypothèses). C'est sans doute dû à un problème de formatage suite au copier-coller depuis mon document de travail... Étrange !La bonne nouvelle, c'est que l'accès est rétabli et je garde l'ID du billet, ce qui est important car il est cité dans notre Recueil de bonnes pratiques.
La mauvaise nouvelle, c'est que le contenu du billet a été perdu dans "l'opération de sauvetage", mais heureusement j'ai une sauvegarde du texte et des images, et je vais pouvoir repartir de là (ça va prendre un peu de temps, forcément et il s'agit surtout de ne pas reproduire le même problème !).

L'occasion de faire connaissance et d'échanger avec l'équipe d'Hypothèses sur le fonctionnement et le contexte actuel (qui n'est pas très positif, avec la fermeture du formulaire de candidature depuis plusieurs mois).

@paninid p-values, to a large extent, exist because calculating the posterior is computationally expensive. Not all fields use the .05 cutoff.
A p-value is an #estimate of p(Data | Null Hypothesis). If the two #hypotheses are equally likely and they are mutually exclusive and they are closed over the #hypothesis space, then this is the same as p(Hypothesis | Data).
Meaning, under certain assumption, the p-value does represent the actually probability of being wrong.
However, given modern computers, there is no reason that #Bayesian odds-ratios can't completely replace their usage and avoid the many many problems with p-values.

@EJWagenmakers However, I'm not Chat. I have an intuition: if the number of pancakes goes really out of hand, they are all equally bad, no one gave a probability of 0 any chance.
If this #bayesian #intuition is correct, it illustrates something interesting: being closer but completely wrong doesn't get rewarded. Better not be too narrow-minded when predicting.
And all #null #hypotheses are false :)
