I so wish I could turn off the "Last edit was ..." indicator in Google Docs. It blinks just in my peripheral vision, and as someone with #ADHD *and* #hypervigilance I cannot help but look at it change.

Same goes for any UX elements: if you animate them, they will distract me. Yes, I've had to resort to masking tape on the screen at times. I will not share what I think of embedded videos, as you would have to look the words up and there would be things you couldn't un-see.

A couple of things I've put that've helped me/my kids, were:

- an animal to snuggle with (cat in my case)
- stories
- head massage!
- rose nightlight
- hot water bottle
- someone u feel safe with staying till ur asleep
- someone in next room w doors open/lights on in the hallway
