  1. I just used the word Interoceptively intentionally and without thought for the poor reader.

Shout out to all the grown up hyperlexic kids who knew words they couldn't pronounce and once got beat up for either knowing the word or saying it wrong.

School was a fun place wasn't it :)

  3. There was a conversation with my mother and older brother when I was maybe 6 when I was determined there were two spellings of the word "city".

We determined it was the plural but it has never not annoyed me I was wrong somehow.

  5. I susepct msot poeple dno't notice typos? They are almost painful for me to see as they jump out of the page and I have to decode them. Weird. Maybe something to do with being hyperlexic? My father read to me *a lot* so I learned to read entire words. Is this a common problem? The bonus side is I can read very quickly, the drawback is the pause as I see tyops!

  7. This is still one of the big indicators that my #MentalHealth is taking a beating.

I'm #Hyperlexic and reading has brought me joy from my first memories. When I can't read - because my brain is screaming at me... I know it's time to talk to my therapist and doctors.

  9. I have always been one to immediately notice typos in text. I've always wondered if this was autism or just precocious reading ability? (Yes I was one of those who could read in Kindergarten)

  11. @JonSparks I loathe #Dubbing, but it's the norm for "foreign" films both here and in Italy afaik. Theatres at some of the larger cities in Spain show new releases without dubbing, but Granada cinematheques don't really do that.

I'm #Hyperlexic and have #AuditoryProcessing issues, so #Subtitles are just fine for me.
